can we use this TV as 4K monitor?

    thinQ is LG.
the remote looks exactly like a LG remote
    webOS was developed by LG.

I think this is a rebadged LG TV

WebOS was developed by Palm for the Palm Pre.

And then developed by HP for the TouchPad. That OS has been everywhere.

I didn't say they invented it.

          I said they "developed" it.

develop means to grow, advance, elaborate.

    • I've bought a bunch of universal remotes and none of them pair with Bauhn :(

      • Were you trying to use an old-style infra-red remote?
Modern TVs use bluetooth remotes. I'd hope all WebOS "magic remotes" are compatible!

You need to pair it, like any bluetooth device.

        • Yeah, one other expensive universal remote worked but not all the buttons. The aliexpress ones don't work at all. I don't think this TV is that new as I got it from a buy nothing group 😆

I think it's the same year as my Samsung TV which the Aliexpress remote works on

          • @MeesusEff: You can get a cheap learning remote, and train it from a borrowed one if you can find it.

            • @bargaino: Oh, they gave it to us without the remote, can't complain since it's free . I do still have the AE one and the fancy one that semi works on it, how do I 'train' it?

Edit : oh I reread and did you mean get a specific learning remote? I've put a chromecast on it so I can use that remote and phone to control.

    • The software is certainly LG-licensed, but that does not mean it has one of their panels.

    • I doubt it is a rebadged LG TV - but I have a Linsar WebOS TV that thinks it's an LG TV. Even has me sign in with an LG account to use the LG app to control it.

        lmao

    • lol yeah I paid 3.3k for a 40" LCD in about 2007! I thought it was HUGE

  • Can anyone confirm that Aldi doesn’t do shipping, especially bulky items? Thank you in advance!

Yeah no, aldi doesn't organise delivery, you could probably get an airtasker if you need someone to pick it up

My 50" Panasonic Plasma hasnt died yet…..

    • VT20?

    • Same for me.. Got my 50" in 2008 for 2.8k

Still running. If a decent 85" goes below 3K, I will replace.. Not paying 4k

My Panasonic Plasma must be the only TV remote with no btn to go back to previous channel. Still managed without it.

  • “Built in speaker”

Trying to think of a tv built these days w/o one built in.

    • Trying to think of a tv built these days w/o one built in.

      Most have two.

      • Good point. I wonder if that’s a typo of if it really is mono sound through one potentially rubbish speaker

  • Anyone know if this supports Freeview?
