    Hi Elijah.

    Thanks for considering our services.

    We'll be looking at our options for providing VPSs in the next few weeks. It'll be something that may or may not be covered under our SLA though, because of the risk of clients overselling their VPS to the point of downtime. It's all a balance, and at the moment we can control that balance to the point of our 99.95% money back SLA if you understand what I'm saying.

    As soon as we bring VPSs into our range we'll most likely offer an introductory special on them which we'll post here.

    • You resell them at $2/month a pop
    • Oversell 120GB at 5GB/account
    • …
    • Once you sold all 100 accounts, it's $200/month revenue at cost of $40.80/month. Profit!!!

      Thanks Scotty, i'm aware of what a reseller account is I have one myself ;) My point is that reseller accounts can be had for MUCH MUCH cheaper looking around on WHT forums etc. Don't know why no one has brought up the fact that this deal isn't cheap for a reseller account… but maybe i'm missing something?

        This is an Australian service, hence you pay more…, webhostingtalk.com.au doesn't have any such offers, unless you try and break a deal with a rep privately over longer terms…

        Lower latency? Your packets do not need to travel across the Pacific so less things can go wrong? That's if your visitors are mostly from Australia. Otherwise is r just more expensive.

        Huge difference usually, that extra ~250ms ping adds up every time something loads up, and if you have a shop or using SSL then everything gets slower still with the "double handshake" security. But you will also find a good US server can be quicker to respond to requests than a slow AUS server, so the idea is to find a quick AUS server to get the best of both worlds :)

  How long does the discounted price apply for - the life of the account?
  A few things that I have been unsure or even confused by before:
  - http://www.serversinseconds.com.au/answers/phone-support.htm… = Unfortunately at this time we are not able to offer phone support to web hosting clients.
  -http://www.serversinseconds.com.au/answers/reseller-support.html = ServersInSeconds Web Hosting provides the following support for our resellers: The same high levels of reliability as our standard plans

  but you state: ServersINseconds' REAL SLA (99.95% uptime, one hour ticket response, six hour resolution time, 24/7 phone support, or your FULL monthly web hosting payment back to you),
  and in several testimonials you mention "They are really friendly and you can call them 24/7, even in 3am :) Biebel - Designer"

  So is it just phone support for resellers?

  One last thing, on your hosting faq page http://www.serversinseconds.com.au/faq/hosting-faq.html the link to the "Full list of reseller FAQs" is incorrect.

  Please don't take this as a bashing, it is a great deal, I just have a few detailed questions, and I am wary of jumping from the frying pan into the fire :)

    Thanks for your interest in ServersINseconds.

    Firstly, let me say that you've come across a couple of our pages that need to be updated. The content of our site was mostly adjusted as we improved our services, and some of the pages obviously got missed when it was time for the rewrite. I'll have them updated later today (Friday), and notify you here when it's been done.

    To clarify - we offer 24/7 phone support for all of our shared and reseller clients, with the same SLA.

    The discount is for the first invoice only, be that a monthly or yearly option. After that it would revert back to our standard $48/month that you see advertised for the plan.
