What a shit show , last time I am churning with health insurance companies for points lol, a lot easier with credit cards

        • Not ideal, but I actually found in my case the bupa rates decent so not in a rush to churn

        • +1

I would be paying the same sort of money with other PHIs (minus the bonus points). I can't complain as long as the points eventually land.

    • Was told same. Seems they just follow a script

      • +1

If BUPA is finding it so difficult to honour their promise, I wonder how much more difficult they will be when it comes to settling claims.

    • +1

Tomorrow is the last business day of this month. I don’t believe all of us gonna receive the points in 24 hours….and after trolling the comments seems no one has got points after the first batch of lucky members. What a shit show.

      • seems quite a few have received points today….many still waiting though

  • “This has been escalated to the relevant team. Their current delay is 7 business days. They will be in contact via email. We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you.”

The reply I got from online chat. Didn’t mention anything about the “end of month” thing being mentioned above

    • Exactly what i got.

      95 days

  • Lodged a complaint a few days ago, they have comeback requesting for info, I’ve emailed them to info, will let you know how I go

    • What sort of info are they asking for? Did you cancel before 90 days?

      • They asked what my reason for the complaint was, advised that the terms and conditions stated points will be paid once you hold the policy for 60 days and also that I was charged the gap payment which was not stated . I’m waiting to hear back

  • "you have to have held the policy and paid for the policy for at least 60 days. From there the points will be debited to your rewards account from 60 days of holding the policy - and up to 90 days. So you should receive the points on 19/06/2024 at the latest"

I cancelled after 60 days, I never received the points and now i've been told.

"Thank you for your patience. I believe the reason your points have not arrived is that your policy is no longer active. I have escalated a request to check if our team can still deposit the points for you, and our Case Management team will keep you updated."

  • +1

I moved my payment to a week from now, paid for the 7 days , did this through the app as didn’t want to pay for another month and then try and claw back a refund

  • I am still waiting on my points. Start date 21/04. Question to everyone, did you receive email confirmations from Woolies/Bupa that you will receive the points?
I never got this so a bit worried if I'll ever get it.
The customer service rep in store seemed confident I would get it ..

    • +2

No confirmations. But I did get some EDR promo email today about 150 pts for buying xxxxx for Bupa customers, which would indicate the accounts were linked successfully.

      • Yep same, no confirmation email after signing up but can see I am getting bonus points for buying fresh fruits and veges and also the 150 points bonus for BUPA customers.

    • I got confirmation saying I inputted the code correctly , nothing after

  • +1

This was the result of a phone call from Bupa after my compliant lodged via chat.

"Thank you for speaking to me today regarding your case.

Your query has been assigned to myself to investigate further. I have created a case ID for reference which can be found above.

As discussed, I will submit an escalation to the Woolworths Enquiry team. The turnaround time currently is 7 business days."

    • Hopefully i get the same when the case manager looks at my complaint

      • +1

        My points landed just now!

  • "I hope this email finds you well. I'm writing to you as part of the Case Management team regarding your recent Everyday Rewards points query.
Our Fulfilment department is currently investigating your query.
I will contact you with an update or outcome as soon as I hear from them and aim to have a resolution as soon as possible."

    • did you end up getting your points? Many of us that joined in March haven't

      • +1

No. I joined on 16th March and cancelled on 5th June. If no points or further response this week I gonna lodge a complaint.

        • +1

I am waiting to hear back from Bupa after putting in a complaint via whatsapp on Tuesday. If no response or not good enough response today, I will make a formal complaint to ombudsman
good luck and let us know how you go

  • While others are receiving points today, I just received an email from everyday rewards after escalating to Bupa.
"We wish to confirm that your Everyday Rewards and Bupa memberships are now unlinked."
That doesn't sound good, looks like they are playing with my account now :( Still no points signed up on 23/3 and cancelled 72 days later.

    • +1

I have no points yet either. Joined 23/3, cancelled 3/6, so well after the 70 days. Some others have gotten their points today. Hopefully we will get ours soon……..if not I will complain to Bupa. Mine were definitely linked while I was a Bupa customer as I was getting the bonus deals through ER and had the email saying they were linked (I did it through the joining and did it manually through ER rewards app too, just in case.) Obv they wouldn't be linked anymore as I don't have a Bupa account now

      • +1

Was sick of chasing, opened a case with PHIO today.

        • +1

          This is the way…

      • +1

I noticed you were also delinked today. Just to share some updates, Bupa informed me that I hadn't maintained a direct debit for 60 days, which isn't correct. I've had Autopay active through PayPal, and this was confirmed as a direct debit option by their chat representative at sign up. No news from PHIO yet.

        • +1

many left between 60 days and 70 odd days and they have their points, so that is just bull from their side

        • +1

It seems that many Bupa staff are liars, lazy, incompetent, or all of these things.

  • Just got my points 70k, signed up 31/3

    • +1

Lucky , I signed up 28/03 still waiting

  • +2

Just got my 70k points and received e-mail confirming. Signed up 17/3.

    • +1

Looks like they do it in batches, I only signed up on 26th April and got the same email confirmation. And 70k landed in my Qantas nice.

  • points have landed…

  • Signed up 12 April, unfortunately no points or email yet.

  • For those who received points, did you cancel the membership with Bupa before receiving them or had it still active?

    • +3

Cancelled policy 3 days before 6 weeks free ended, that was about a month ago, received points today.

    • +1

      Still active

  • +1

Point just received. Called BUPA on Tuesday, said case escalated and case number provided. membership is still active.

  • Just got my points today. Never called BUPA, only live-chatted with their agent (who advised to wait till end of month). Currently with BUPA.

I guess it's too late now to jump ship to AHM (considering the new card will only arrive well into July)?

    • Most offers are before June 30. So still got time to change.

That being said, there will always be another offer after June 30.

Nothing has currently jumped out at me ..

  • Anyone know the cheapest place to get Bupa approved prescription sunglass lenses fitted into sunglasses?

  • +2

    Received points this afternoon.

    Signed-up March 19th.
Didn't pay the shonky little "gap payment" as I requested them to shift that direct debit to the end of the free period. Hence, only one direct debit paid at the beginning.
Cancelled policy 3 days before 6-weeks-free ended.
70,000 received today for lowest of the low singles policy.

Did not contact them at all to chase the points.

Hope this helps those still waiting/wondering.

    • +1

good to know, I signed up about 4 days after you and did exactly the same thing with the payments, I had it cancelled on the last day of the 6 weeks free period….so hopefully mine turn up soon too

  • +1

Got my 70k points that got converted into $350 today. Can someone let me know if this is $350 off one shop or can I spend this over a few transactions?

    • Everyday Rewards dollars can be spent in $10 increments. i.e for a $25 shop you can redeem $20 and would have to pay the $5.

      • yes, wish it was more like Flybuys where you can spend any amount from the balance

  • +2

Still waiting after signing up on 16/03 and staying for around 70 days

Did anyone get 140k points yet? I had a single parent policy. Just noticed so far people have only confirmed 70k points and wondering if they might do the 140k ones separately.

    • +1

Yep, had 140k everyday rewards converted to 70k Qantas points today. Single parent policy as well.

      • +1

Thanks, will likely have to follow up. I got the email from Everyday rewards early on saying I would get them, so I know it was all linked properly. Not sure why the incompetence when they've run this promotion before.

        • did you get your points yet?

          • @souths123: Nope, got it escalated on Monday, they said they would contact me in 3-6 business days

            • @Miss B: seems there are quite a few that joined March that haven't received the points, yet ones that joined in April have

  • +2

My points landed! Goodluck to all that are waiting

    • +1

Still waiting , yesterday marks 90 days of having the policy and I didn’t cancel

  • +1

    my points have landed, yay!

  • +1

    Got mine too :)

  • +1

Great to see some got points. Joined 19 th march still no points

    • +1

Must be luck of the draw, I signed up 28th March and still have an active policy

      • yes, joined 23rd March, still nothing (but I cancelled on 3/6)

  • +1

I joined 4 April, got points today.

  • +3

Seems like random allocation of points but they are getting processed now

    • yes, seeing dates joined and who have and haven't gotten points, seems no rhyme nor reason why some are getting points now when they joined after others. I still haven't received mine and joined 23rd March. People that joined April are getting them already, and some others from March still nothing

    • any sign of your points? None for me yet….getting a bit worried.

  • Received my point today. Does anyone know what is best way to spend this ? If we buy Vanilla card of amount $350, can we use all of it or is there a limit of how much we can use in 1 transaction using these money off shop $$$ ?

  • +1

    still no points…..joined 23rd March

    • +1

      Same joined 19th

      • +1

        Same, joined 16th March

        • +1

seems strange that ones that joined in April already have the points and we haven't

  • +1

I joined in March and still haven't received my points. If I change my policy or leave am I still eligible for the points and are others having issues obtaining the points in these circumstances?

    • +1

Seems like as long as you held the policy for 60 days you are eligible , a lot of people have cancelled after 60 days and got their points , I’m holding after 90 days just in case

      • +2

I held for 91 days before canceling and still nothing. Will try and annoy them via online chat tonight if I can be bothered.

  • +1

Got on Whatsapp. Previous person said it was fine it was cancelled. This one said I didn't get them because it was cancelled. I said I kept it for the required 60 days and told them to escalate it.

    • definitely only had to hold for at least 60 days, but you aren't the only one that haven't received the points….some still members, others not and many are from March sign up like me…nothing yet

    • Mid March +90 days that should be mid June right? Well passed.

      • Oops, fumble fingers with my post. You are correct, but this is the date I have agreed with Bupa, for the sake of simplicity.

Added: You prompted me to double-check …

And wow, I'm not on the ball tonight, mid-April is when I joined.

(Mid-March is when something else started. Misread my calendar. It's been a long day :) )

        • was told by end of june and still no points. Escalated and still waiting

  • Lodged a complaint and they said some bull about having to have a policy financial for 60 days , which I have met .

I also went into live chat and they said they will be issued just after 90’days which is this week for me, they said to contact again if the points haven’t been received and they will escalate

    • I'm on approx 102 days now. I sent a whatsapp message yesterday. They are going to escalate, will see what they say in another couple of days. If not resolved, I will do a complaint to ombudsman as others have done.

  • Which health funds to switch too now?

    • GMHBA

      • Why GMHBA?Never hear before of this GMHBA

        • At least go to the website before asking :)

It currently has a 6 weeks free promo.

          • @YesPleaseThankYou: I cannot see 6 weeks free promo on the website.

            • +1

@aiyoyo: I saw it now on full website. Thanks

              • @aiyoyo: Well NIB has 8 weeks free. Medibank have 6 weeks free for Basic and above. Plenty of options out there.

                • @firestint: In years of churning, NIB offers have never been compelling. Most often the issue is that the qualifying period is too long when compared with other offers.

Sure, go to NIB if there are no other offers, but there's always another offer.

              • @aiyoyo: looks like it's gone..

  • It is ok.no issue if we keep switching health funds?I mean medical levy impact? Also, if I use up all Bupa optical and dentish limit now and I switch to another fund, is all the limit reset and can use again?

    • No issue. Questions are already covered in this thread.

      • The only thing that I did find annoying was having to give them all of my past previous transfer certificates as they weren’t factoring into the previous covers coverage. Not sure if it was an admin thing or something you just have to do cause of churning.

  • +2

Still no points, what an absolute cluster flap this has been
