This previously popular Lenovo Android tablet is back on sale for anyone who missed out last time. The first 10 units are US$193.39 (~A$298.07) and onces sold out it'll become US$195.59 (~A$301.46).

This is the 6GB/128GB MediaTek Kompanio 1300T CPU variant of the Xiaoxin Pad Pro in the colour Gold that's quite light in colour. I've been using this one since January and it's easily my favourite tablet yet. The OLED screen is beautiful, the Android ROM isn't sluggish and the CPU/GPU paired with the fast RAM/storage handles every game thrown at it.

Based on screenshots this appears to be running the correct Global ROM with Widevine L1 for Netflix HD, Google Play and OTA updates. However you can reflash the official global ROM by following instructions here and here

Features include an 11.2" 2560x1536 OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 600nits brightness, HDR10+ & Dolby Vision, 6GB RAM, 128GB UFS 3.1 Storage (microSD support), 8200mAh battery with 30W fast charging, USB-C with Video Out, 4 JBL Speakers with Dolby Atmos, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and POGO pins for charging/keyboard.

  • Add "Bundle: Standard Discount" and "Color: 6GB 128GB OAT" to the cart
  • Apply the coupon 24CD20 or AE20CDAF at checkout

  • Wait this thing has video out? Does it mirror the screen or does it use a desktop environment?

Can we dual boot chrome os on these things?

    • +6

Both. Mirror the screen or use Lenovo's version of Samsung Dex.

  • +1

I want a huge tablet delivered by tuesday night. someone assist lol

      • amazing

        • +4

ultra is an amazing tablet. i use it every day

      • +1

and its gone. didnt even get a chance to talk to JB to pricematch….

        • Unlucky, it was available when I linked it yesterday

    • +4
    • +2

You missed the Samsung S9 ultra deal on Samsung website. I got it few days ago for roughly $1100. Maybe wait for that one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/832075

      • That was a really good deal but you needed to trade in a device to get the additional discount

        • +2

You can always fake a trade in, choose the lowest value item, with a defected screen, value would be reduce to $1. Then you don’t send it in, there will be $30-$60 admin fee charged to you.

      • May I ask how long did yours take to come? Mine is stuck in processing/waiting approval since Tuesday

        • 3 business days. I bought another one for acquaintance last Thursday, yesterday was public holiday, and I already received it this morning. Shipped from NSW with StarTrack.

  • Sounds good. I should have got one of these instead of the Lenovo Duet 5 Good Guys deal. It seems a lot more powerful than the Duet 5

    • +1

$100 more and doesn't have a keyboard not really a comparison

    • Nah, the duet is better.

    • Included keyboard + Chrome OS (supported until 2029) is a huge difference. Those aren't even in the same category.
Some people even got the Duet for just $160 after cashback and coupon. The Duet was a bigger deal.

  • Best tablet for that price fast and all

  • Can this play 4k MKVs? I know the screen isn't 4k, but could it at least decode them and downscale without stutter?

    • +1

I've had no troubles playing 4K Dolby Vision files on mine.

      • +1

Nice. Tempted to get one, but I already have so many gadgets I never use lol

  • Picked one up, will see how it goes - Total: AU$311.22

  • -3

so is this not one of those fake tablets with fake specs?

    • Nope.

    • No this one actually says Lenovo. Unlike the fake ones that don't have a brand.

  • Is there a version of these that supports a decent pen? I used an iPad for my whole degree and honestly it was a game changer. I would have preferred an android device though, I will be telling my brother to get a Tab S9 FE, but interested to see if there are other options.

    • +1

Did some research looks like it supports the Lenovo Precision Pen 3.

  • +1

Is this okay for gaming at all? New to the Android space tablet

  • Love to get this but don’t know why it’s showing price as $321.99

  • I am wondering if it supports 4g?

  • +1

Thanks! Got it for $298.07. Changed currency to USD and paid using my Up card.

  • Thanks op, bought with pen in the deal (didnt want to bother looking for a compatible pen seperately) and paid 409 AUD. Was debating this or the xiaomi pad 6 I see the MeMall also had a sale on but I think this fits my purpose more.

  • Any models 8GB of RAM?

    • +1

You can get the Snapdragon 870 variant with 8GB RAM. No global ROM available however.

      • +1

Any downside with no global rom?

  • How does it compare to Galaxy Tab A9+? Similar price point and really good value as well

  • I have the China ROM one. The Play Store doesn't update itself. I have to do it through Lenovo's app store.

Not too happy about that. Thinking of selling it just for that. Don't know if I can trust it with my banking apps and such.

      • -1

True. But the global ROM won't get OTA updates, or so I've read.

        • +1

You've read wrong. It's the official Global ROM from Lenovo so it gets updates and everything else just fine. It's the unofficial seller ROMs that don't get updates.

          • @Clear: Interesting. I trust you when it comes to tablets, Clear. You seem to be the Android tablet guy here.

So you reckon the comments above are worth doing? For what it's worth, I don't think Lenovo are good with updates anyway.

            • @BadGiraffe: Do you have the MediaTek or Qualcomm variant?

              • @Clear: It's the Mediatek Kompanio 1300T. Same as the one posted, but I paid full price for it. $500 or something.

                Model is TB132FU.

                • @BadGiraffe: Ok good that's the flashable version. Give it a try if you're wanting a more stock experience.

                  • @Clear: Fingers crossed. Here's hoping I don't end up with a $500 paperweight. Wife will kill me.

                  • @Clear: Done!

But ironically, I like the China ROM better. The new Smart Launcer or whatever can't be removed. Even changing to a different launcher. All I can do is minimise it into a little line at the bottom and rely on gesture controls.

And the PC Mode is not as good.

All that said, I feel safer on this one. Official ROM from Lenovo, flashed it myself, etc. Thanks everyone for the tip.

                    • @BadGiraffe: The latest OTA update let's you change the icons on that launcher. Previous version you couldn't.

I haven't tried PC Mode in ZUI. I wouldn't have thought it would be any different.

                      • @Clear: I'd like to get rid of it. Maybe in the next update or something.

In ZUI, it was a little easier to get the virtual touchpad going. Less taps.

Suggest get Xiaoxin pad pro 12.7 inch Snapdragon 870 8GB RAM 128GB for AUD $270 form Taobao.com (mother company of AliExpress) plus extra delivery fees organised by yourself.

    • -3

BTW, there are plenty logistics company to do this kind of job, just google and compare.

Like below, but I don't recommend it, as I never use them before

      https://baohero.com/taobao-agent-australia

      • The key words I use on Google is Taobao agent to Australia

      • Which company would you recommend?

      • If you "don't recommend it", then why on earth are you putting it up on here??!!?! Lol

    • how much delivered?

    • Can you use the official Global ROM?

  • Wait sorry can someone clarify the benefits of reflashing to the official Global Tab P11 Pro Gen 2? thanks in advance

    • I'm fairly certain this already has the proper ROM. If it doesn't then you'll have to reflash.

  • Can anyone recommend a stylus that will work with this tablet? I've seen a bunch of comments regarding the Lenovo Precision Pen 3, but am unable to find one (for less than $200)
    Cheers!

    • +2

Unfortunately any other stylus won't have palm rejection. I bought a $10 stylus someone recommended in the last deal and it worked however it didn't have palm rejection which meant i had to hover my hand if I wanted to write with it and it was a poor enough experience not to have used it again. I wouldn't bother with any other stylus except with the official Precision Pen 3 due to the palm rejection issue. I agree though, it's not worth the additional >$100 pricetag for the Precision 3 stylus.

      • +1

Disappointing, but appreciate the heads up :)

  • I'm wanting a 10"-12" tablet purely just to,
1- extend PC desktop for seeing discord or web with touchscreen, whilst gaming fullscreen (no room for 2nd monitor), and
2- browsing Web and watching YouTube in bed.
Is this thing on the money or is it over the top and I should get a cheaper solution?

  • +1

Nice price….waiting for the legion y900 to go on sale.

  • +2

Have bought 3 in the past few months myself, Mum and Grandma. The setup wizard colour scheme is different between what arrived and after flashing official rom.

Id recommend just flashing it as soon as you open it up. No point setting it up then having to flash it anyway when you realise you don't get updates etc. You have control this way. Seamless flashing

    • How long did it take them to arrive once shipped?
      Thanks

  • @Clear can you install official rom on non pro model to get OTA updates? This is the Snapdragon version, I've seen you talk about Mediatek being flashable.

Looking for a bargain for 12.7 model is anyone has one!

    • China rom

  • -2

Good specs for the price, just be aware they will be basically no android version update support going forward. Android is a fairly mature OS now, so it's not as big a deal as it used to be. But it is a shame seeing this running android 12, when android 14 has been out for 5~ months.

Lenovo used to do 1 android version update then EOL the device, I believe their latest policy is 2, but given this is a 2022 device I don't know which policy this falls under.

    • Whatcha talking bout Willis? There's Android 13 and Android 14 will be out this year. Support ends late 2025.

      • any ideas for an android tablet around the 8"-8.8" mark that will be getting Android 14?

      • Oh well it's listed as android 12 on the description.

Ok so it sounds like it has received its two updates, I doubt it will get any more.

      • I just got mine and it seems like it doesn't auto update to android 13, do you have to manually update the firmware for this?

        • +1

Seems like it's an unofficial global ROM and needs to be reflashed with Lenovo RSA

  • Nice one

  • Any recommendations on a case? Or ones to avoid?

And thanks for the detailed deal and post @Clear

  • Damn, the code no longer works. Was about to grab one.

  • Sorry, these coupon codes have already been claimed. However, you can still enjoy other great deals on AliExpress. :(

  • Code sttill works for me but not not sure I want to buy a Lenovo again after my 2 year old Lenovo Pad Pro 2022 just died.

    Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 Kompanio 1300T 6GB 128G 11.2inch OLED Screen 8200mAh Tablet Android 12

Is the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2023 worth the extra $$?

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005940810066.html

    • Larger screen, more RAM and marginally better performance. The downside is no OLED display but that shouldn't matter too much.

      • +1

        China rom

    • yes it is!

  • +1

If the coupon doesn't work try this one: AE20CDAF

    • thanks op

    • Has price gone up? I'm not getting ~AUD$301.

      • The first 10 units are US$193.39 (~A$298.07) and onces sold out it'll become US$195.59 (~A$301.46).

      • I believe you have to switch AliExpress to USD to get that price. By default it was showing ~AUD$313.

  • Clear any good deals on the 2023 12.7 version? Got the 2021 xiaoxin from one of your posted deals a year ago and it's been one of my best purchases from aliexpress.

    • +1

Cheapest I saw was around US$220 before the coupons expired. The AliExpress anniversary sale is this month so expect some big discounts hopefully

  • Has the deal ended? Showing for me as $US209.99 after discount.

  • Store contacted me after 4 days to cancel my order Saying they didn't have stock..

  • +1

Mine has been has been temporarily delayed due to unsuccessful customs clearance. Did anyone else experience this problem?

    • +1

Completely normal for AliExpress. It means it will clear later and deliver just fine.

    • Mine too, fingers crossed it clears soon.

      • It says mine has cleared now, cant wait for it to arrive:)

  • Did anyone else had their order expired and have a pending processing refund?

  • Mine just got delivered today.

Security seals on the tablet box were cut - I'm assuming this was done by the seller to load the global ROM? Is this normal?
