128 GB $1447.00
256 GB $1597.00 - really should come as a minimum this days
That was outright, didn't want to compare a signup and terminate deal
I'd rather pocket the few hundred dollars in savings by signing up and terminating and keeping my OzB badge.
@abs898: For what it's worth, I got a credit card approved after terminating a P9P sign and terminate deal
@Asti: You wont be rejected for a credit card after the signup, that is not how credit scoring works. There are a lot of factors that come into play, it just hits as a hard search on your file.
@abs898: I have done multiple sign up and cancel and no issue with CC.
Nor any issue with refinancing some of the mortgages.
tensor G4…..

google phones shoudl be sold half of the asking price…
I hear you but for those who aren't power users, you're probably never going to notice a difference
My Tensor G1, which was a poorly performing chip at its release supposedly, is still snappy and responsive for day to day. Phones don't need the performance jumps they once did.
I don't think this should warrant a neg. A neg wouldn't fly for a deal on a car with an underpowered engine.
On this point just commenting in case it helps anyone that is looking at more intensive use cases. On my Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Lightroom is super slow to import, navigate, edit and export 50-60MB RAW files from my Sony A1ii. It could be extremely unresponsive with sliders e.g exposure not registering any input for a few seconds or at all at times. An export of a test file from the A1ii took 25+ seconds. For fun I tried it on my spare iPhone 12 mini and it is much smoother than the Pixel 9 Pro with basically no lag. The same photo was exported in less than 5 seconds.
Pixel 7/8 Pro also were pretty slow to deal with files from my Sony A1 (similarly 50-60MB RAW files) but somehow it feels like the 9 Pro has regressed. Either that or the Adobe has made some updates that the Pixel line is struggling to keep up with.
It's a shame because a big reason I bought the 9 Fold was photo editing with the big screen but it seems like it is not quite a viable experience for me. I imagine the Pixel 9 Pro would have similar performance in Lightroom so it would be difficult to recommend for anyone else that uses it if that is important to you.
that's what I meant.. selling pixels with tensor SOCs at this price is a pure scam
Snapdragon might be better for that
Any news on when the 9a will come out in Australia for preorders? Holding out on that instead.
Why not the pro? Just don't pay this ridiculous price. Pixels are best in class for photos
Is this new iPhone 17 Air?
Price is taking fast. Ha. Glad that I didn't pay RRP.
