Target was selling these for $49.75 according to this link: https://www.target.com.au/p/sunbeam-compact-barista-manual-e…
This is the true deal lol.
Clearance items are annoying. Once you've seen them going for such a price, it's hard to purchase the same item for anything higher!
And they can be heart-breaking if you already purchased the product at a much higher price.
I bought an item of clothing at David Jones for $350 and then saw it for $12 at Myer. It may have sold out already at that price, but still.
note eloque said it was selling. This item has sold out online and in store
Can we use this link to ask for pricematch at Good guys or Harvey Norman ?
Aw man I would jump at $50. I've been using an AeroPress for years now and it just works, you know? Minimum effort and cleanup.
Same price on Catch https://www.catch.com.au/product/sunbeam-1l-the-compact-bari…
Free delivery if you have OnepassI get the feeling that this won't be the last time we see it at this price. And/or the market is becoming quite competitive and saturated with high value coffee machines. I also think that the 'pod' revolution can take some of the thanks. These espresso machines are starting to look like those Nespresso things.
their bottom teir machine has looked like this at leasty 10-15 years. I bought a sh one then got it making decent espresso by removing the blind part of the basket. I immediatly upgraded to a ECM technica profi which has been going strong for 10yrs +. I just bought one of these for work. I hope I still have the modded basket.
You sound like a pro. This offer was tempting, but I still have my twin thermoblock, which has been going strong for about a decade too. Once I've resettled, I'll be looking into modding etc., to get some sort of consistency out of it. But for now, it's basically all about having the finest grind and a hard tamp. That's what seems to work for me, which is nice and simple in a way.
I just find it quite amazing how slight changes in the 'height' of the tamped coffee in the basket make such a difference. Hard to get right consistently. It needs to be quite high, almost too high. Just before too high. Too high is when I can't twist the handle.
But yeah, these things are nice and compact. Pretty cool, but I'm in the process of learning not to jump on every bargain I see. It's a proper illness. Same with just sticking to one cashback company and also not purchasing every gift card.
Does someone have experience with Kmart's more recent espresso machines?
I had a quick look and they seem to sell two.
I had the older version, not the recent one. The water came out of the machine always has some plastic odor. Went back to the basic delonhi instead.
looks like this is expired already, I guess it was a price error or something, back to $199
I wonder if this is just a recased De'Longhi dedica. They look awfully similar, I think there's a Smeg that's also the same
