Snooping around for speakers and saw this deal. Might be of interest to some.
Only 1 left in stock (more on the way).

Looks like it will either be fantastic or utter sheet
Hoping for the former. Trailers look good.
I love that it can only be two extremes. No soso option. I also hope it turns out good as a fan of fo series since fallout 1
Amazon already has a habit of turning good source material into average TV: Wheel of Time and Rings of Power are some serious downers
These are rear ported speakers and should not be put into a bookshelf cavity btw.
$349 @ centrecom for those who can pickup. I used to have the s1000 and for what it's worth I think they're fantastic value at this price. Unless you're looking for a significantly more expensive mid-fi or hi-fi setup, thes will most likely do. Also I would not recommend as tv speakers as tv optical out (at least a few years back when I tried) seemed to have audio sync issues on at least 2 TVs I tried
It’s weird hey for a while on ozbargain we used to see a heap of Edifier bookshelf speaker deals, then the deals just dried up :/
Good to see some decent pricing coming back
I have these speakers and they are a cracking good set imo, but also many reviews you can find say this too.
I also think they are better than other Edifier speakers in this approximate price range, Edifier SB2000 for example, because they have a much greater wattage in the mid to high range speaker, yet still have tonnes of power in the base range, without being way over the top in bass as some speakers are. Personally I can't stand excessive bass and would much rather a balanced range that does not neglect the higher range details and these deliver well in this regard.
They just generally sound fantastic for any kind of use and are very solidly built. I am looking to get another set for the lounge room TV + PC setup (currently have them in bedroom) and imo they would crush most sound bars for power, quality and value, especially considering the stereo separation you can get vs a sound bar.
Can these speakers be hooked up to a sub perhaps?
As far as I know, they don't have a sub out, but honestly they really don't need it, there is plenty of bass already there. I have the master volume and master bass (dials at the back of the speaker) set at 50% for the volume and about 20% for the bass and it's already heaps of power in both respects.
When playing Youtube videos I'm almost always under 20% on the Youtube player volume and when watching movies on VLC player, it's usually no more than 50% (same with video game audio volume settings) because anything more and it's just too darn loud. And there is always ample bass in everything they play and when several rooms away, if there is something playing the thing I hear most is the bass tone and that's with it set at 20%!
I can't recommend these enough, to someone who wants a set of "all-round" speakers delivering clarity and quality across the whole tonal range and for all kinds of media (Movies, Music, video games etc) and at a very reasonable price.
I doubt anyone could really be disappointed with these as they are such a solid pair of speakers.
Check some reviews, to see if they are what you are looking for (heaps on YouTube for instance) they generally get a lot of praise, especially for their value in this price range.
Hope this helps :)
Thanks mate.👍
