I believe you can recycle almost all of the packaging.
Recycle into what? I thought our recycling had been being sent to China to eventually be set on fire, and then they rejected it so now we just warehouse here.
We definitely recycle cardboard here
No, it gets sorted from your recycling bin into paper/cardboard , the different types of plastic (see the number inside the triangle on the bottom of product), tin, aluminium etc by the machine and staff at the sorting facility and then gets sent to China where they purify it further and then turn it into new products. Not sure about the rejection by China part, I didn’t hear about it.
@ninnypoop: Hey thanks for that! I’m all up to date with the latest info now 👍
To save your research; No it's not Nespresso compatible. This one uses Lavazza A Modo Mio type pods.
Got this from coles a few months back for $20 when they were clearing them out retail was $99 and also got the 64 pods like this one but i’m almost out of pods, does anyone know where i can get the pods from and how often are the pods on sale? Tia
Cles, Woolies and Amazon $12.50 (16 pack) RRP, less on sale. Possibly IGA and Foodworks as well as others.
I purchase mine on Amazon when I see a sale.
Last time I got 2x16 pods for $16-$17 if I remember correctlySure, always better to get them on sale.
Just saw them available in a small rural IGA also for $13.15
This one leaks.
My Breville Barista is now nearly 5years+ with no issues. I wanted one for the outdoor entertainment area so got this one, biggest mistake. Stay away, the pump stopped working within 6 months. I got mine replaced under warranty, the second one started leaking within 8 weeks. Save money and get a good brand.
I’ve got one of these and it isn’t half bad. I use it every day. Costco sells bulk boxes of the pods.
I have this one for about 3-4 months, got it for 49$ with pods. Combined it a milk frother from kmart and couldn't be happier. No complaints at all. It is small, pods are easy to find and taste excellent. Only thing to note is, you need to press button to stop pouring, it doesn't automatically stop, so it might not be convenient for some people.
Thank you, I was wondering about this. One button to take out espresso and long. Might be a hit and miss at times. You are right, not everyone’s cup of coffee.
For a long black, don't just keep extracting - it will be bitter.
better to add hot water to espresso.that's an Americano
Keen to try one of these. Nespresso pods are too weak, wondering if the extra coffee (7.5g vs 5g) makes a difference.
All that landfill
