Got an email from ING

“We think you deserve a bonus $200. That's why we're inviting you to apply for an Orange One Low Rate credit card. Because if you apply, are approved and make 5 eligible transactions with your new Orange One Low Rate credit card by 31 March 2024, we'll give you a $200 bonus just to say thanks.

That's an extra $200 in your pocket for whatever's on the cards.”

Not targeted because it says friends and family can apply too with a promo code

“Invite your family and friends along too

Think your family and friends deserve $200 too? No problem.

They can also get this exclusive offer if they apply for an Orange One Low Rate credit card using the promo code NYbonus in their application, and if they're approved and make 5 eligible transactions with their new Orange One Low Rate credit card by 31 March 2024, they'll be thanking you for their $200 bonus.”

No annual fees, so it’s free $200 without any minimum spend.

The last time I applied with the code in Ozb, they denied my bonus and said it was targetted. Thus I closed the account. Two days after I closed the account, I received an email from them that I am conditionally approved for Platinum Credit Card and a bonus $300.

i couldn't see anything in ther terms and conditions. ive applied and have sent a message inside my ing account to confirm i am eligable.

        • thanks mate can you share the results here

  • Such a terrible bank in my experience. 155 days (still waiting) to resolve an almost $3,000 lost refund to my account..Such a stressful, non helpful company.

    • i lost 1000 from a scam and they decline my dispute after 2 month

      • omg no way! This really worries me now, a lot. This is pathetic of them. If they try pull this on me, i will take them straight to the ombudsman.

        • I am thinking of ombudsman as it is a scam by taxi driver, which supposed to be around 20 dollars, it is very clear and I have the police report and a few photos and videos as proof, they just keep saying the proof is not enough and visa won't take it

  • $200 is not worth a credit check hit, there are dozens more profitable offers out there than this

    • +2

Eh, definitely the easiest ones for straight cash back imo. Fair few other offers have dried up of late.

    • Which card? I couldn’t find any which is offering such bonus..

        https://www.rwrds.com.au/

Heaps here, noting mostly gift cards, but if you ship at Coles or Woolies it's as good as cashback

  • It's targeted, as I couldn't deal from my account

  • +2

    I think it's slightly targeted, as I got a $300 cashback offer

    • +1

      The good kind of targeted

  • ING don't accept Balance Transfer payments to settle ING Cards

  • I have "cloaked" a bit of double Dutch interest with them.

  • I'd really like to see the T&C's for this one as I just closed a card with them. Surely there's an exclusion period???

Also, any indication of when the payout occurs? I don't want to have to hold onto this card for 3 months or something silly like that

  • Well.. is it targeted or not?
