NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M, not enough for gaming in 1600 x 900.

  • What adiition from standard config did the OP do? If nothing then price after coupon should be $699.00 ($140 off standard price $839)

The 1600x900 res screen is an extra $11.

      • Oh..right! Didn't see that…hence the question.
        But why the negs? :(

  • Needs an SSD option.
$128 SDD option for an extra $50 and id buy it :)

I know i could buy the latop and a SSD, but then i have to install it and keep the 750GB somewhere in case of warranty claims.

    • Smart money is on adding a Msata SSD or replacing the optical drive (harder in this model)

Keep loads of space for media, and speed for OS / programs

why not quote the provider - powerbuy - for this coupon?.

    • +1

This has nothing to do with Powerbuy afaik?

      • this coupon is exclusive to powerbuy

    • It is Powerbuy's coupon, but does it matter??

  • Bought this during this deal: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/80435

Feels solid, it is a little on the thick side though. The red is nice - haven't quite yet loaded Diablo III on it, so I can't say how the graphics card performs. But I do appreciate the slightly higher res than just 768, only thing I wish it had as well is a backlit keyboard - but alas, for cheapskates, you can't really ask for the world. :P

  • hi guyz,
I was wondering whether i can claim the 100 dollar cash back from power buy for this product? power buy states that u can claim the cash back only if you buy from any other place except lenovo website… any idea?

Any other place u know who is providing this laptop at 700, so that I can claim 100 extra from power buy?

    • I can confirm that you can not use powerbuy cashback if you buy directly from Lenovo. Try looking at MSY or the likes for lenovos. The prices should be dropping pretty soon for Win7 laptops anyways. You will pretty much find the normal HD screen(1024*768) in stores not the HD+ as mentioned by OP.

  • There have been numerous reports of the pulsating fan issue with this model:

  • thanks guyz .. i will wait for better one then … :) cheers!
