is there any other 42" on sale other than this model?
Can anyone else confirm that they got the above Panasonic for $999? Just came back from the Lake Haven Harvey Norman where I encountered one of the biggest A-holes I've ever met lol They had lots of these models left but the bargain model was quote "GONESKY".
We've just spoken to the manager, who is agreeing to do the above deal for $999. I almost don't want it after speaking to the grunting POS sale rep we had first go :/
The first guy claims they were only making $100 profit off the TV @ $1320. Since when does HN make < 10% profit on anything it sells.
I'm guessing this will vary from store to store as the "Leading Brand (42”) 106CM HIGH DEFINITION PLASMA" for $999 at Nunawading was a Samsung
can you post the model of the samsung?
i need a 720p native display
facepalm they're trying to sell us $200 surge protectors now.
the panasonic is a great deal at $999
i brought the exact model just over a year ago and it cost me almost doubleitsross i would invest in a surge protector though, none of these tv's (even with extended warranty) are covered against power surges, sure you can get them for about $50 at bunnings, but either way a good investment.
Definitely going to get a surge protector, but not at HN prices :D
Check out the Power struggle article on dansdata.com for information about surge protectors.
Good read thanks HueyData.
@[Deactivated]: No problems, itsross. Lots of good technical information on a range of subjects on Daniel Rutter's site.
It seems most consumer-grade surge protectors are next to useless in the long run, and the more expensive ones with big warranties might not necessarily be much better.
Please note that it is a cash only price
