Everyday Mobile $10 off Long Expiry Prepaid Plan (Everyday Rewards Members Only): 60GB 180-Day $90, 125GB 365-Day $160

460

Nice deal to start off the year with a new phone plan. $10 off the 125GB - $170 - 365 day plan or 60GB - $100 - 180 day plan using Everyday Rewards.

It’s possible that this stacks with $12 cashback and referral $10 gift card, but this is unverified.

Everyday Mobile is on the Telstra Wholesale network, gives you 10% off one Woolworths shop a month, and supports eSIM.

I was initially going to buy a Boost pack but there aren’t any good deals at the moment. Does anyone have experience with Everyday and can compare to Boost?

    • +9

Well it's not 5g. But I don't think this deal can be beat for value. As long as you do a $150 shop once per month at Woolies and claim the 10% back, you are effectively getting your mobile needs covered for free for 12 months, on the $170 plan anyway.
      It's a no brainer.

      • +2

Except, you have to wait at least 45 days for that 10% off shop to start. So effectively you are only getting 11 months worth of discounts in the first year.

        Waiting, waiting….

        • +3

Good and valid point. Apart from that tho, I don't think there is ANY mobile deal that can compete, unless you really really need 5g or you don't have a Woolies nearby.

If you spend $200, just once a month, you are actually making money! Well sort of. Once the 45 day waiting period is up 😆

          • @HappyPants: Yeah, I just moved to woolies from boost a week ago, as this seems to be the best deal (and to stay on telstra) :)

    • +3

I switched from Boost to Everyday. Aside from no 5G all seems good to me.
Speedtest is pretty similar in the burbs.

    • My wife was using Woolworths Mobiel for last year, no connection issue at all. Mainly using it in Sydney Metro area. and some travelling. Bought the deal last year for only $180 for $200-180G pack with an extra $11 cashback. so 180 - 11 = 169 for 12 months. And we use 10% monthly shopping discount, that's roughly $90 for the whole year mobile. Pretty happy with this cheap option.

  • Everyday Mobile is on the Telstra Wholesale network, gives you 10% off one Woolworths shop a month, and supports eSIM.

    1) can I use EDR 10% on top of the $10 off
    2)After I joined, do I get 2 X 10% off per month?

Just realist $100 is for 180 days only, this sucks!!

    • 1) unsure
      2) I get 2x10% off every month because I'm an everyday member+have a SIM with them. You can't stack both

      • A bit confused. Do you mean you are an Everyday Extra member and have a SIM with Woolies, and both offer you 10% a month which you can claim separately? How do you claim the discounts, given that you are using the same Everyday Rewards Card?

        • +2

How do you claim the discounts, given that you are using the same Everyday Rewards Card?

The Everyday Extra discount code can be used online, the mobile discount in store only (no code)

When checking out in store it asks you if you want to use the mobile discount. If you select no, it then asks if you want to use the Everyday Extra discount. Once you've used it in store it doesn't ask, and if you choose the first discount it doesn't ask about the second discount for that shop (so can't stack on a single shop).

I've found the Everyday Extra one is usable both online AND in store, as long as I use the online code first.

          • @modsec802: Thanks. I happen to have signed up for Everyday Extra trial last week and am planning to get this prepaid sim.. so I've been wondering if it's worth continuing the trial once it ends since the woolies sim will give me the 10% discount anyway.

            • +1

@JaxSantiago: depends if you do online shopping (click and collect, or delivery) as the Everyday Extra one is usable online whereas the mobile one is not (anymore - used to be)

          • @modsec802: Thanks…

Shame I just realise its on Telstra, that is a no go for me….

    • +1

      1) Yes, you can use $ off rewards with the 10% off in the same shop.

    • I just asked support and they said no to the 10% off this plan using EDRX. Not sure if it would work in store though?

    • +3

      1) Per Everyday Extra T&Cs, the 10% off your shop through Extra does not apply to Everyday Mobile purchases
      2) You can receive 1x 10% through Everyday Extra and 1x 10% through Everyday Mobile (however these can't be used in the same transaction for a total 20% off - these have to be used in separate transactions)

      • @dm02 - What if we have 2x Everyday Mobile services against one Everyday Rewards account - do we get 2x separate 10% off each month?

        • +2

You can only receive one 10% off your shop through Everyday Mobile, even if you have multiple mobile services

  • +2

    Thanks OP.

Slightly related, does anyone know if the SIM packs in store have 10% reduced price when used with EDR Extra/Mobile/Insurance? And if they can be bought with gift cards?

    • Good question..

    • +2

You can use giftcard but not 10%. I did this last year though not sure if this has changed.

      • Thanks!

    • Went to buy instore yesterday but it scanned up at full price.
Noticed later that day there was a Boosted offer in the Rewards app that needed to be activated.
      Pretty sneaky tactic.

  • +2

Can you use it to recharge an existing Everyday Mobile service?

    • +1

      Keen to know this too

    • I am an exisiting customer and have previously contact Woolworth Mobile to ask if this offer is available to existing customers, and have been told no. However, I'm happy to be corrected (and including @dm02, as they seem to be connected to Woolies Mobile)

      • +2

The promotion only applies to purchases of a SIM Starter Pack which is used to activate a new service

        • Is this online only ? just tried purchasing at local Woolworths would not reduce from $170 .scanned rewards card and went to final payment.I got cashier to remove it,did not purchase..

          • @bkksam: Got the following info. from T&C:
            Prepaid Long Expiry plans
∞ $10 off offer is only available to Everyday Rewards members who purchase a new $100 or $170 Everyday Mobile from Woolworths Starter Pack from 00:01 AEDT 3 January 2024 to 23:59 6 February 2024 AEDT (Offer Period). This Offer does not apply to any ongoing recharges made to an existing Everyday Mobile from Woolworths Starter Pack after credit expiry. This Offer is available during the Offer Period in store at Woolworths Supermarkets or online at https://mobile.everyday.com.au/. For in store purchases, purchase the relevant starter pack and scan your Everyday Rewards Card before completing your transaction. For online purchases, link your Everyday Rewards card during checkout for this Offer to be applied. This Offer is not available in conjunction with any other offer. Everyday Mobile from Woolworths reserves the right to amend this Offer at any time without notice.

It seems to be online and in store available. No idea why no deduction of $10.

            • @yayoko: I purchased in store as well and no $10 off. Boosted it in the app and scanned Rewards card, but no discount. What I did get after payment however was 2000 Rewards points which automatically converts to a $10 voucher for the next Everyday Rewards purchase. Not sure if this is what the $10 'discount' was always intended to be from in store purchases, but it was never worded as such. If anything, both the 2000 bonus points and $10 off were advertised together on the in store display, which could be interpreted as one supposedly receiving both benefits.

      • Yes, would like to know as well.. They messed up my auto recharge so I have no active plan but still a member. Would like to go long expiry if we can use this deal. Thanks

No international calling. Any opinion on the best cheap plan for those of us who need international calling (UK, US at minimum), and preferably easy international roaming for travel?

    • The $5 add on gets you 2 hours of calls to those countries and 20 others (p/month I think). Not sure if that's enough.

Our requirements were to stay on telstra network (moving from boost).

If you are a Commbank customer the $27 plan from More includes unlimited calls to 15 countries but the cheaper plan does not include intl.

If u r prepared to go optus, I think Coles has a good deal with intl.

      • Just looked on the EveryDay Mobile APP. These are the add-ons for International Calling:
$5.00 International Calls for 120 minutes
        - 120 International minutes to 42 destinations
        - 30 day expiry
$7.00 International Calls for 60 minutes
        - 60 International minutes to 30 destinations
        - 30 day expiry
        $10 PAYG International and Other
        - This add-on allows you to make up to $10 worth of International and other non standard usage.
        - No expiry - but you must have an active recharge to use any balance.
        $30 PAYG International and Other
        - This add-on allows you to make up to $30 worth of International and other non standard usage.
        - No expiry - but you must have an active recharge to use any balance.

        • Yeah, the first one is the one I'm referring to as it includes USA and UK, as per OP's requirement.

          $5 for 2 hours.

I downloaded the Call Rates pdf and probably didn't read it fully, as I don't need to.

only issue is no international calls.

    • Use WhatsApp instead?

      • My foreign bank doesn't accept calls on WhatsApp

        • +1

I hear the Cayman Islands have bad signal 😁

  • I moved to boost for the int calls but partner still on everyday + we got everyday extra for a year from a recent deal. 10% off *2 for Woolworths every month +10% at bigw. We got a Woolworths close by and we save beyond 60aud/mo. We usually go for 2 big shops a month now - like my parents used to do it.

  • Is there a better plan for kids? Need to get my kids a mobile to keep in touch when they are at a friends place etc so hardly any calling and they won’t use much data as they are on wifi most of the time

Is there a cheaper yearly plan than this?

    • If you don't need to keep the number just get a boost Sim, it's free, otherwise cheapest annual seem to be Catch Connect….

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/824679

    • Amaysim, $60 a year unlimited talk and text, no data.

I don't understand, if the link provided by OP is working, why people go to buy it instore and complaint there is no discount? Just order it online, may be the offer is online only?

    • Because the terms say its available both instore and online and some people would want to pick it up during their grocery run?

In saying that, it would be best to use the referral link to get a $10 bonus on top (if that works with this?)

  • Everyday Mobile activation website cannot find my address (2 years old new development), chat says I need to call. On hold for 30 minutes+ on two occasions and have given up.

Any suggestions how I can activate this bloody SIM card? Thanks.

  • Anyone know if this $10 discount only applies to 1 Sim purchase or to each sim purchased on the same everyday rewards account? Looking to move 2 existing and get a new number for family member.

  • So i already get 10% off twice a month because i have my car insurance plus the everydayday xtra membership. Will i get a 3rd 10% discount with this?

  • I just purchased in store the $170 - 365 day plan, $10 off at checkout + 2000 Bonus Points ($10 off next shop) - So only cost $150 - not bad!

    • Nice! Did you have a separate offer for an extra 2000 points?
