    • Word on the street is that the 32GB nexus7 will be taking over the 16GB's price bracket.

EDIT: Oh… looks like everyone here knows about it already.

  • +2

Everyone should bear in mind though that a 32gb model is being released in the very near future, so expect the 16gb price to drop.

    edit- What ^^^ he said

    • +6

Looks like the 16GB will be replaced by the 32GB - so Kogan are trying to get rid of old stock before they are as desirable as …… well Win8

    • I want that near future to come sooner! =]

  • Yeah 100% price drop & with the iPad mini release. " began the 7" pad wars has" :). Looking to get a 7' just gonna wait it out cause Xmas sales around the corner.

    • +7

A seven foot tablet might be a bit big for using on the bus, even if it's on sale for xmas.

Dont know why people are silly to neg his comment without looking in to it.

      This deal is $259+$19 = $278

His linked deal $268 delivered if paid by bank deposit or 272 through paypal or credit card.

    • Yes, and I hope onlinecomputers are selling local stock.

  • can this dock in landscape mode?

    • Yes with 4.1.2 update now on Nexus 7, it can
Wait, do you mean dock as in charge it in landscape mode, not sure if there's a dock that allows you to rotate as well

      • Yeah as in is the charger on the side or bottom (in landscape) I'm looking at using a tablet as a bedside clock, radio etc coupled with a logitech mini boombox

Any other suggestions would be considered.

  • Time to price match with officeworks again :).

I assume that the Google Play $25 credit no longer works? That is the only reason I jumped last time.

    • i picked up one from office works last week. it still gave me the 25 bucks credit when i set up the tablet despite the offer having had expired

  • I would not buy any tablet until the end of this month when IPAD mini, Surface, and new Nexus will be all released. I will compare them and waiting for further price drop.

    • There's also the new Nook HD and Nook HD+ tablets

      1440 x 900 resolution on the 7". $199 8GB. $229 16GB
      1920 x 1280 on the 9". $269 16GB. $299 32GB

      • 1920x1280! Woooooooooo! Maybe time to upgrade my Nook Colour!

say that in every android product and you will be enjoying your notepad and nokia 3320

Price is okay, but be aware that this is Hong Kong stock; the "original" (2000mA) adapter is British, and Kogan adds a no-brand 1000mA "Australian" adapter to the box. So you may need a travel adapter to charge at a decent speed.

    • +3

Also letting you guys know that the no-brand 1000mA adapter may not even charge your Nexus at all (at least, that was the case for me). I had to purchase a UK-to-AU socket adapter and use the original power supply for it to work. You can also use your computer's USB socket ofcourse but that will take significantly longer.

      • Standard computer USB socket is 500mA. I doubt it would charge much unless you switch it off while it charges. I think it's safe to say that you will need to use the original charger…

      • The 1 amp adapter included with the Note I bought from Kogan is not a no-brand job. It's a 'Cullpower'. Still haven't used it, but maybe it'll come in handy a some point.
Go The Power of The Cull!!! (I think in the absence of using them to charge anything Kogan wants us to throw them at Kangaroos. Say it ain't so Ruslan!!)

      • That no-brand 1000mA I got was not working as well. Can I complain to Kogan?

        • You could, but you'd probably be better served just buying a new one off eBay for a couple of bucks. It'd be quicker, and save you the effort.

  • I'm really interested to see this alleged Samsung/Google Nexus 10. It's a pity it probably won't be out before the end of the year!

This is a great time, though, for the tablet market. Or at least, it will be throughout the next year or so!

  • There is an update for Jellybean, so homescreen can be rotated now :)

  • This or Ipad mini?

    • If the 'leaked' price list for the iPad mini range is anything to go by, then this is a no contest with the soon to be released Nexus 32GB.

  • iPad mini coming out soon, as well as 32GB to replace 16GB Nexus 7 and Windows 8 Mobile events make this a bad purchase when considering the future… but if you need it now go for it.

    • including delivery time, thats "if you need it in a few weeks time"

  • Don't forget Officeworks beating it by 5% to drop it down to $264.10

    • Don't think OW is price matching Kogan anymore….

  • Geez … if this keeps up we could see an end to all the Ainol humour.
    Where's the fun in that?

  • The new 32gb Nexus 7 pricing has already been leaked in the UK costing 199GBP. That's a little over $300AUD at todays exchange rate.

    I would wait :P

    • They priced the 32GB where the 16GB used to be, which seems to be what they're doing everywhere else as well.

  • Meh, pretty average sale price by now - you'd be an idiot to buy it from Kogan at their regular price, considering the frequency of these 'specials'.

  • What's the best android phone released int he last two years and under $200?

    • +1

Add a 0 to your figure and we can talk.

  • Beware Kogan delivery is 2 week++ ordered a Galaxy Note 2 from 8/10 untill now no sign of delivery and its weekend…

buyer remorse, this was my test of Kogan and will never buying from them again…. same sh*t as shopping square,

i also bought some case and screen protector for the phone at the same time on ebay from some random HK seler and it has arrived even b4 the fone… shocked.

  • Thanks ozvictor - I bought the Nexus 7 32GB and used the Kogan ($288 inc delivery) price match at my local Officeworks and paid $273.60 ea (after their Lowest Price Guarantee).
