  • Is it for items over $599? Just tried on a laptop listed at $599 but the code didn't work. Thanks.
Updated to $600 but I also feel like some prices have been jacked too.

    Any bargains ?

  • OZB350 discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart

Tested this on the HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 13.3" 2-in-1 Laptop that is priced at $599.

    • Looks like they have updated it to $600 now

  • Same doesn't work with most of the decent price refurbs.

OZB350 discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart

You will need to list items it works on, otherwise no bargain

lol, second post and this post too is being shot to pieces.

OP, what are some good value items the bargain hunters can buy?

And please don't use inflated RRP figures

Surface Laptop 3 - i5 10th Gen 256/8 comes to about 479 after discount, free shipping, 90 day warranty.

Don't you have to provide a 12 month warranty?
Unless your expecting these to only last 90 days then bang the smoke comes out

    • -1

Extended 1 Year Warranty is available.

      • +3

I think you better check your regulations again. All electronics items are guaranteed 12 months, regardless of seller claims. Trying to trick customers into believing it's not so is also a little how shall I say, umm…illegal?

        • Just ask Fitbit.

@henno: So, all Renewd has to do is make a profit of $11m + $1, and they're clear to go then? NICE!

        • +1

          Even refurb?

          Perhaps check again.

          • @jackspratt: Only private sales are exempt from that rule, is how I understood this. A sale from a business is always subject to that rule.

            • @soupiejr:

              Second-hand goods
The consumer guarantees apply whether the goods are new, ‘seconds’ or second-hand. Depending on
factors like price and age, it may not be reasonable to expect a second-hand product to last as long or
perform to the same standard as a new one.
For example, a second-hand vacuum cleaner is not expected to last as long as a new one

              https://www.accc.gov.au/system/files/Consumer%20guarantees%2…

          • @jackspratt: Yeah that's what I'm wondering.
Because it doesn't really make sense to apply the same warranty laws for brand new goods, to used goods

        • What regulation are you referring to? Australian consumer law? Under the ACL there is no minimum time, only "a reasonable amount of time". Ultimately you'll have to go to your local Civil and Administrative Tribunal if you really want to find out what is considered reasonable for a second hand good.

    • Spiked? Just like their prices?

  • Surface Laptop 3 - i5 10th Gen 256/8 comes to about 479 after discount, free shipping, 90 day warranty.

A bit of advice on submitting deals: Include examples of discounted items and include the core specifications, you are posting a deal and the onus is on the deal poster to actually outline what the deal is, as well as to double check that the coupon works as expected BEFORE submission. Thanks

      • thanks

  • Toshiba PORTÉGÉ X30L-J 13.3" Full HD Touch- Intel Core i7-1165G7/16GB RAM/256GB SSD/Windows 11 Home comes to $499 which seems decent? Not grabbing it myself but seemed decent to me. Thanks.

Name should be rejacked not renewd.

      Hey Bobby, comment please?

I'm not happy. I love seeing used and "refurb" devices finding good homes and continued use, but in my opinion, this sale seems clearly fraudulent. SMH.

        Plus:
        1. No photos of actual device condition, but plenty of stock photos of models when new.
        2. Quoting manufacturer's RRP against used devices is ridiculous:
        a) They don't even sell for those prices when new
        b) These machines don't come with anywhere near the same level of warranty or guarantees as new

        • You are absolutely right. These prices are not even what the devices sell for as new

    • +1

      More recent evidence:
      Previous price (Oct 25th 2023): $770 https://web.archive.org/web/20231025232928/https://renewd.co…
      Today's price (Dec 15th 2023): $899 https://renewd.com.au/products/acer-travelmate-p214-52-54x1-…

Someone link me a good laptop for a year 7 - touchscreen not required. I'll kiss you on the lips.

  • Jacked prices as per @pinchies comments above.

    Hard pass on this one.

  • More negs than pluses.

I'll trust the OzB fam and pass on this one

  • Avoiding this store like the plague thanks to the proof of almost 2x increase in price for some items

  • Still time to rescue your reputation on this site… return the prices to what they were before you jacked them and leave the $350 discount code active after that….

  • Dude. The prices are double for refurbs. Be reasonable
