That's atrocious
I don't mind the Thinkpad model range, I have one for work and one personally both have lasted years without fault - but why are the displays so washed out and average?
I guess that's the answer. People keep buying them.
It's not just Lenovo, we use Dell at the office and I recently switched from a latitude 7000 to 5000 series and the same thing, crap displays are the standard unless you go top models or upgrade the display option.
I don't get it, is very poor penny pinching IMO, it is a terrible user experience.
well its T series
This worries me as you can see they've cut corners here, where else have they cut corners that you can't see on a "premium" notebook.
The ThinkPad logo is placed at an angle so that it's ready for when they cut corners.

pretty ordinary price for specs unless you wanted Thinkpad only
Expensive. Not cool specd
This deal is a complete waste of money! It only comes with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB hard drive, and it's a refurbished notebook, not even brand new. I'd be better off buying an M3 Apple notebook.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/874924concerning they have refurb stock of a laptop not even a year old
Not the exact same model, but I have a T16 Gen 1 for work.
Thermals are absolutely horrible, it runs hot and throttles quickly. I think I read somewhere that the T16 had the same internals as the T14.
Stick to AMD, no point getting a '7' series intel CPU on a laptop and hitting thermal throttling if you ever want to use it. All those low power E cores make the multicore benchmarks look great on paper though.
Laptops with GPUs are generally much better as the GPU and CPU share the additional heatpipes
Dont know why here keep posting Lenovo outlet so called 'deals' here, they have gone so bad on prices and try to be like Dell outlet now, hardly any bargains anymore
Battery life is trash on these brand new. Wouldn’t touch it refurbished
I don't mind Lenovo as an offering and I was looking to replace an older and broken Lenovo laptop over the weekend and was browsing the various offerings and there is nothing too stand out at the moment. There is always a deal for sub $1,500 for specs like this brand new.
Always ask for a discount at Lenovo too since their listed prices seem to be a bit of a suggestion anyway.
45% ntsc 300nits, can't believe such is considered acceptable in this day and price range
