  • You've pasted the link twice and it doesn't work, here's one that does.

    • Sorry, all fixed now. Thanks.

Blockbuster? What is this Blockbuster you speak of?

  • Good deal if its available to you, but that rrp is misleading, think of the loot that you can get for $59, sure it wont be 10 titles, but you could even sell what you get afterwards

  • If you open the pdf which has all the location, does anyone know what's the 500 against each location.

Shame my local BB store isn't listed there.

    • Most likely a number that means something in Blockbuster HQ's own interal DB that's irrelevant toyou or me. deal_participation_group_code or something, they just didn't bother deleting it.

Cool…might visit Blockbusters then…haven't been to a museum for a long time.

  • The BB near me closed a few weeks ago, and the Video Ezy down the road won't be long behind it. 10 new releases for $10 sounds a good deal but I cant help thinking its the death knock for video stores. A bit sad really. I've some very fond memories for visiting video stores as a nipper.

Can't say I'm particularly sad about it. They started pandering to the lowest common denominator; it seems most new releases these days are straight-to-DVD releases and aren't even good films. If they had
      a) decent prices
      b) DVDs that don't force me to watch trailers (we're not in the days of VHS any more, guys, we have this thing called the Internet to find out about movies), and
      c) a website which allows me to see which copies are in store before I drive all the way there to find all the copies are gone

then I would continue to go there. But they don't, so I don't.

    • It was a sunset industry 10 years ago.

The near future trend is online blu ray dvd streaming service when NBN becomes the main stream.

  • The list of participating stores seems a little out of date - the Mount Waverley store in Victoria has been closed for months.

    • The list is a bit raw.

Looks like the asked a programmer at head office give them a list of all stores in a certain category without checking if they're still open (or even deleting that column that just says "500").

    • no, mount waverly store just move across the road, to smaller place

  • I dont think we have a single Brand name store left in our area.
