Im not in the market for a Tesla but I can see a good argument for Tesla over other electric cars. Whats so special about this that justifies the price when regular apple watches are considerably cheaper.

Your confusion is probably because you are not the target audience. Keeping in mind this isn't competing against a basic wristwatch like the standard AW does.
It's competing against sports/adventure smart swatches - many Garmin watches are in the ~$2,000 range making this quite good value.
I'm sure you can find plenty of youtube videos comparing them and answering your question with a lot of details, if you're really looking for an answer.

Little bit annoyed as it was not the strap advertised with, and came with generic USB-A charger and generic charger puck.

Mine was just a plain rubber strap.
Mine arrived today, looks brand new and 100% battery. Came with a plain white band instead of the advertised grey/black trail loop. For those who got the wrong band, are you doing anything about it? Will they exchange the band or do you have to send the whole watch back and potentially miss out on getting another one at this amazing price?

Received mine too with an annoying white band. Also, noticed light scratch marks around the face edges, though it seems polished now. Wondering if others had similar marks?
Got 2, one was in perfect condition and the 2nd covered in scratches. Seems its not consistent on bands or quality but they have accepted the return

Thanks, $20 refund is a good outcome I reckon. I’ll contact them and see. I’ve ordered same bands. Happy with the condition of the watch I received. Battery 100% and only a couple very faint marks on the casing - screen is perfect.
