I guess this is the lowest price for this smartwatch. Don't forget to collect the coupon first before checking out.
Btw black obsidian version is just $10 more. ($209.99)
Cheers

The standard for 5 ATM rating is 50 metres in depth for 10 minutes so you can't really blame the manufacturer if it doesn't survive being underwater for longer periods.
Sorry, but 5 ATM is a LOT of pressure. You could reasonably expect that something that can withstand this, would be waterproof in a pool virtually indefinitely!
Yep, my galaxy watch ultra (and watch 5 pro I had before that) gets worn in the shower, pool, beach etc. No issues.
What sounds good is not the same as recommended use. Read the table:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_Resistant_mark#Water_res…
I have been swimming multiple times with my Pro 5 without any issues. Was literally in a spa pool earlier a few weeks ago for a good half hour and it still works fine. Have not been snorkeling or diving with it, so can't comment on how it handles a bit more depth.
Beware, after having dealt with Mobvoi on warranties 3x times I can tell you this:
When it comes to the "waterproof" claim, the moment there is any water ingress or weirdness that could be water-related and you attempt to claim warranty,if you confirm either having done 1) Dishes or 2) Swam in a Chlorinated pool,or 3) Swam in the Sea with the watch they will decline any warranty claims as "Our waterproof rating is only unaltered fresh water" and any of the mentioned activities can "damage" the waterproofing according to them
Meanwhile my Titanium Dive watch can go 100meters in soapy boiling sea salt and be fine and have its warranty honoured
THIS! Had a previous version that was also "waterproof". When it stopped working and I researched the issues with it I rang the support centre. Was asked if I wore it in the shower . When I asked why that would better given its waterproof rating, I was told it was not waterproof in the shower. More before you explain to me about ingress protection and IP definitions, in real world case it should only matter if you shower under a fire hose!!
Dang. Had this issue on an early TicWatch E, with similar customer service. Bought another Pro later and just take it off in shower or when swimming, so no problems, albeit it's an annoying restriction.
But was really hoping the move to rating 5ATM signalled they were actually taking waterproofing seriously on the newer models, as there's no way you can expect a shower or regular pool to exceed this. Oh well, guess I won't replace my Pro with this.
Price is tempting, but no LTE
Released May 2023, not too old? Because its digital, and outdated?
Still has the newest most powerful watch chip I think (the W5+ gen 1) so from hardware it's up to date.
Mobvoi software has been lackluster though (as a owner of the ticwatch 3) think this is a wear OS version behind. But up to you to decide if that matters main factor might be if you intend to link payments to it and care about security patches for example. The main competitor would be the OnePlus watch 3 as the only other full fledged smart watch offering multi day battery which is $200 more but might get better software support… Maybe… Wear OS has a bad history
I had one of these for most of this year and it was fine, but I went swimming with my kid and the watch died. So yeah, don't put it underwater.
The screen arrangement is like a transparent LCD display on top of a proper colour touchscreen. To save battery, the transparent LCD screen displays the time and some basic functions unless the colour touchscreen activates (you set the conditions that make the proper screen activate, anywhere from raising your arm to always-on).
I wouldn't buy one again, but it's a good cheap basic WearOS watch with very long battery life and unreliable waterproofing. I had a Galaxy Watch 2 for years before it, and will definitely go back to a bigger name brand if I buy a smartwatch again. I'm thinking of not buying another smartwatch though, as I'm happy with just my phone now.
does mobvoi watches with nfc work for paymnets in AUS?
Any smartwatches besides from Apple/Garmin that has NFC payments and can work with iPhone?
Any Android Wear OS watch with NFC payment support will work in Australia. Unfortunately you can't use the wallet with an iPhone though so would require an Android device to work for you.
Does anyone know what this has over the Pro 3 Gps Ultra? Is have one that I have been using since the beginning of the year, and it seems fine, although I am hesitant to swim with it, despite it having swim tracking (I think)
Op , also add pro 5 enduro for $260..
The pro 5 has spo2 + hrv + hrm for sleep as android. The only device that provides all 3 measurements within saa if that's something you're looking for.
Wouldn't touch a Ticwatch again. Was dumb enough to have the Pro 2020, 3, 3 Ultra because each previous model died from water ingress in the shower the exact same way. The sensors will die first, and eventually the whole watch. From all accounts of other reviews, still an issue with the 5.
Have since moved to a OnePlus Watch 2.. now that is a superior android smartwatch in every way.
Yeah, i have the Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS.
It works "fine" but its quite annoying at times when the GPS has poor tracking.
And the "promised" upgrade to WearOS 3 was late by 1.5 years.
I wish i bought it when they were offselling them for something like $30, rather than closer to launch i think i paid $200.
You're right, i forgot how bad the GPS accuracy was because it took them so long to get the new wearos to get strava back onto it.
TicWatch specs on paper looks awesome in theory.. vanilla UI and good hardware.. kind of like OnePlus was with phones in the early days. Now that OnePlus make watches, none of the TicWatch 5 hold a smoke to it in any regard, even battery life. Highly recommended for your next upgrade. Very accurate GPS via strava, and has survived many a water skiing trip.
$200 for this TW5 watch is no deal in the long run.
Yep 2 Ticwatches, failed twice for water ingress from doing nothing more than using it in the shower and pool.
The ratings are complete nonsense, how can they claim to rate these things as Mil spec etc etc when they can't handle a bloody shower?
Oneplus watch 2R much better option, similar supposed ratings but they seem to actually survive at least some basic daily use cases.
I've had this as my daily driver on and off for the past ~1.5 years and I can't complain. I never really showered or swam with it so no comment on that front.
Battery life still going strong and it charges up pretty quickly, paired it with a white band from here - https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006314204144.html?spm=a2g… unfortunately the quick release spring bar the band comes with is a bit too big and needs to be replaced which worked for me already had other spring bars on hand.
I just ordered the Pro 5 Enduro which also has a coupon available.
I've had the 3 Pro GPS for 3 years and has been an awesome watch.
Yeah I got my 5 pro about 1.5 years ago. It's ok but battery dosen't last as described. Never gets many updates. I wouldn't use it for paying for anything because unlike my phone, it dosen't get security updates. I always take it off for showers. I usually have to charge every night so no big deal. I never trust the ability for a Chinese watch to go in water.
Just be aware of Mobvoi's track record of customer support and of promised updates and removing features at random.
Just beware!

1.0 out of 5 stars Good watch but not waterproof as claimed

This is probably the best wearOs watch for Android with at least 3 days of battery life but with a major issue: waterproof. As advertised and claimed it should be military-grade water resistant but instead, it can't even withstand normal swimming in the pool. With the first watch I thought it was just an issue with the batch but after the replacement failed too I believe it's just the watch was not good enough.
