[eBay Plus] Philips Prestige Beard Trimmer Series 9000 $177.66 Delivered @ Shaver Shop eBay

TOP6NOV

Normal full price is RRP $319 which I doubt anyone pays. However usually it hovers around $220 on normal sales and $200 on bigger sales.

$177 with ebay plus seems to be a decent price for it.

Normal full price is RRP $319

Normal RRP or ShaverShop's usual inflated RRP?

    • Most likely the usual inflated RRP. Would be a sucker to pay that price.

      • Phillips has an RRP of 299

  • Runtime is only 2 hours while the multigroom 7000 series runtime is 5 hours.

This is a great device, been using since mid 2021 and probably only charged it 4 or 5 times. I only have a goatee to trim however, not exactly stressing the device. But the ease of changing cut length is really great and the build quality leads me to believe I'll be using this for the next 5 or 10 years.

I believe I got it from this deal for $179, so kicking myself I didn't wait 2.5 years to save the extra $1.34:

    • +1 here as well. Great device. For me, the metal comb makes a massive difference vs other beard trimmers. Have tried a few different ones over the years, but this has easily been the best of the bunch.

  • Got one, been keeping an eye on these for a while.

Amazon US has it for the $150-160mark postage and it's been that way for a while but I wanted AU stock.

    • Yup I actually ordered that last week.

The delivery time blew out to a range of mid Dec to early Jan.

So I canceled it and went with AU stock.

      • Hopefully it's decent. I absolutely love my gen 1 vacuum beard trimmer (from 2010/11) and replaced it with a later model circa 2020 which is, meh. It does not cut consistently so I end up using my older one

Hopefully this one is decent but thankfully Philips has a 90 day satisfaction guarantee on it

        • Hope so. I have the Norelco Vacuum and the plastic clip with the smaller head worked great until I got it wet. Since then the cut has been really uneven.

I then started using the bigger head but the trim just wasn't consistent.

The actual motor works as new so I'm really hoping for a "premium" experience this time.

          • @Circly: How are you finding it? I opened mine today and first use is its excellent!

            • @Gunnar: Was a bit unsure first time I used it. I found I spent a bit longer than expected trying to get a 3.5mm length stubble. Had to keep going over the same spot. Also the area around the chin / neck took a couple goes.

Second use was better, either I got used to it or because my stubble length was more consistent so it was easier to trim down.

I still find the mustache area near the nose is a tricky spot to trim, requiring you to press down a bit and give it a few goes.

Overall it feels quality and definitely a quicker trim and seems more consistent than the plastic trim heads of other Philips trimmers.

  • Mine has shipped and is arriving tomorrow.

  • any good waterproof beard trimmers/clippers?
