Thanks mate, literally what I was looking for yesterday evening! Great way to wake up! Will include in my current Philips Hue system using HA.

I’ve just recently got a hue bridge and couple of E27s to use as a wake up light alarm with HA, but geez $50 a down light is expensive …I’ve got a bunch of the Aldi ones for $15ea, is the Hue downlight really worth the extra $35?

    • Hue and Lifx are definitely worth the extra. lifx even moreso with not needing a hub.

      • The aldi ones are wifi and tuya compatible though as well. Thered want to be a pretty big difference to justify the price at +35 per light

The Hue Bridge integration is pretty nice and works pretty w ell.

    • Genuine question…how well does the colour change work with the aldi ones?

Just went through a shit experience with nanoleaf downlight and returned them. When moving between colours it was very clunky/noticable with pauses and delays.

    • In my experience, so long as you can add it to Tuya, it'll work just as well with Google / Apple integration, as the Hue series. The ultra cheap smart devices that are incompatible with Tuya, and require their own app, are garbage.

    • Its a better light quality but the ALDI ones flashed with ESP work well.

    • $100 at RRP

  • Gone .. !!

    • can still order for delivery at a later date - just grabbed 4, thanks OP

      • Depends on your address. Mine on the mid north coast just says sold out. Change it to Sydney and it will allow me to order and ship once back in stock.

  • Sadly only can order 5, there are 18 down lights in my place.

    • Bunnings & JB will do the price matching.. I just got another 10 from JB with price matching ..

      • Bunnings will beat it .
But JB you can use discounted GC
        Edit
        Bunnings matched the price

  • Sad. I haven't even opened the 6 I bought for black friday

  • Philips Hue expensive. Need 10+ more around the house

  • These are great quality, I’ve had the non Rgb ones for over 4 years and they all still work (12 or so downlights) plus other bulbs and a hue play

  • Hmm, product specs page shows 60W while normal downlights are around 10W.

  • For all who would like to do price match at bunnings, they just don't do it anymore even though they are still in stock.
