Can you explain what that means? The GPU is 4060 but lower power than say a Dell or Lenovo?
That's correct. To maintain its price as a "thin" and inexpensive gaming laptop, it's sacrifice cooling and when you sacrifice cooling you need to sacrifice power.
Up to 1470MHz Boost Clock 45W Maximum Graphics Power with Dynamic Boost. *May vary by scenario.
The 4060 for laptops, the TGP (Total Graphics Power) can be configured between 35 and 115 Watt (+ 15-25 Watt Dynamic Boost from the CPU) leading to different performance levels.
Thanks guys, wasn’t aware of this. Anything I can spot to avoid this? Looking at the Dell G15 and now worried it’s an inferior 4060.
@mrkrop: The G15 is good. You just need to google it.
Please dont buy gf thins, absolute horrible cooling and build.. Single fans, few heatpipes, all the shoddy parts in one machine.
Did I mention single ssd slot?LOQs and G15s are this price after cashback, and even full powered 4050 is much better than heavily gimped 4060 here.
Good to know thanks.
Yeah thin line is thin in quality is budget model. I have thin gf75 regret till now, they put dumb USB C port no display port and HDMI 1.2 only 30hz max. Things like that. Cut cost.
Gimped i5 and lower watt GPU in the Thin line.
