This one is better value if you want to spend more:

    • +1

I don't think it is, $115 more and very similar specs.

$135 if great bang for buck at 4gb 10inch

      • FHD vs 2K screen

        • 1920x1200 vs 2000x1200.

          • +1

@GhostofB: hm, they clearly advertise it as 2K which is actually suppose to be 2560x1440

            • -1

              @kanu666: 2k isn't a standard, it's a generic term that means approximately 2000 pixels wide. 1080p is also considered 2k.

              • @GhostofB: not really,
                FHD is 1080p while 2K is 1440p
                but the diff is subtle

@kanu666: Yes really. Wix doesn't make video standards, They make websites. You're arguing in bad faith. Just do some basic research rather than looking for something obscure to prove yourself right.

                  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2K_resolution

                  • -2

@GhostofB: haha, this is not from Wix, just from one of the random sites on the internet simply to visualize that there is slight difference between 2k and FHD.
But regarding this Lenovo case you are probably right as these 2 have slightly different screen soze 10.1 and 10.6 which probably lead to the same pixel density

                    • @kanu666: Once again, FHD is an example of a 2K resolution.

    • Well if your talking value I don’t think you can beat $135 for a full HD tablet with 4GB ram

    • +1

cheaper at ALDI with the case

  • Lenovo Tab M10 Plus (3rd Gen) $199 at Aldi together with Folio case

damn so confusing with all these lenovo names

  • Does anyone know if these tablets will do Android Auto? Or if there are any that will? Looking for a way to add Google Maps navigation to our car for my P plater son. He can't use a mobile phone and Android Auto but my reading of the rules is that he can use a non-SIM tablet.

    • Not sure about this tablet. However I have one of these and it works quite well, can use wireless android auto or apple carplay.

      https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/nanocam--nanocam-connect…

      • Thanks. I'm not sure that would be legal is it connects to your phone - it's the equivalent of the Android Auto built into our car's head unit. I'm after a non-mobile phone way to connect to the head unit.

        • Ohh sorry I didn't know you weren't even allowed to connect to a phone. Surely some kind of navigation would be helpful for people learning to drive, maybe too many distractions?

          • @FEELS: Yeah. It's called a dedicated GPS unit from the likes of Tom Tom and Navman

      • Somewhat off-topic but how do you manage brightness of this type of units specially at the night. Had one of those bought from amazon… Everything was fine except as I mounted that in dash, in the night it was too much bright for me and not sure how to manage that brightness.

        • Just enable the auto-brightness/adaptive brightness function for night time use.

Settings -> Display -> Adaptive Brightness.

        • That is one of the biggest drawbacks, at least for the system I have. It doesn't have auto brightness, so I usually just set it to the dimmest level, which is actually okay during day and night. But I think the brightness can be easily adjusted anyway, just not as convenient as having a sensor.

  • If I only use it for Netflix and YouTube,

How is this compared to iPad(2019) model ?

    • +4

I have this and the iPad(2018), I'd choose iPad all day everyday !

      • Is the Lenovo alright for 1080 streaming and light browsing? I've had a couple of older 10" ones and they were essentially unusable.

        • +1

Yes. With 4GB of RAM it should breeze through light browsing and 1080p streaming.

        • It does 1080p streaming but it's painfully slow when browsing the internet, it's got a better display than my 2018 ipad but I find myself always using ipad

  • Is this the same as the Xiaoxin Pad 2022 from AliExpress?

    • +1

The Xiaoxin is the PLUS model, which has a Snapdragon 680 CPU compared to the T610 in this one, so Xiaoxin is slightly better.

  • Would this be sufficient for my child to play Roblux? Or would I need more RAM?

    • Should be able to play Roblox fine, considering my Nephew plays Roblox on a 5th Gen Ipad, and it's only got 2GBs of RAM.

      • Thank you! Appreciate your help.

  • Does this tablet (Lenovo Tab M10 Plus 3rd Gen Bundle 10.61" (4GB / 64GB)) have feature which auto wake up when you walk up to it?
    I think double-tap is default.
But wondering if that double-tap can be changed to auto-wake up when you walk to it?

    • +1

You are expecting a lot from a cheap tablet.

  • If you think 64GB is not enough storage, you can expand the storage with a microSDXC card.

  • I am not sure if Aldi one is similar to Lenovo AU. it's a bit confusing.

OOS but if you're still after one, HN and OW have both price dropped it to $137.

    https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/lenovo-tab…

    • Thanks but not much stock.

      • IF they have it, you don't need to wait, for something that is most likely coming from china

  • Does OW pricematch Amazon ?

Lenovo or get the battery replaced in an iPad Air?

Looking to wall mount for home assistant

    • -1

Get the battery replaced in the iPad. Better for environment.
