"Brisbane only" in title maybe ?

    • +2

      There's only 1 Indooroopilly in Oz😄

      • yep but we're not all familiar with where that is i guess

        • +1

That's why I upvoted your correct suggestion. State should be in Title.
          Reported. Mods will have update

Always thought Indooroopilly is a very Aussie name, like Wooloomooloo.
Thought to be derived from a First Nation place name "valley of the leeches"!!

  • So it’s only a one way free fare?

    • +1

$50 credit, valid pickup or dropoff
T&C: Only 1 Uber ride per person
      So only 1 way

Go with another person (with their voucher) for return rides
Unless you have 2 Uber accounts😉

      • Although the T&Cs state 1 Uber ride only, the voucher works for multiple rides as long as you have credit remaining in the Voucher. You can see the available credit in 'Vouchers' in the Payment/Wallet section of the app. Lets say the first ride to the Shopping Centre cost you $24, and you have $26 left in the voucher, you may still use it to get another ride from the Centre, and it will take off $26 from your total fare.
For past 4 years, I have used to get to the centre and back from Brisbane CBD for $22-$24 per ride.

  • Added $50 promo voucher to Uber account👍

  • -1

The Promotion vouchers can only be used for direct or return ride withtin a 0.4km radius of 322 Moggill Road,
    Indooroopilly QLD 4068.

Just enough to cross Moggill Road into the car park.

    • 400m? Lol. Like to the train station?

    • +1

      No!
Means: Can catch to or from shopping centre or up to 400m away from it.

That's what "direct or return ride within a 0.4km radius" of the shopping centre means.

So drop off / pick up across the road etc is fine.

      • How far can $50 get you on uber generally? (Never used it)

        • +3

Ah, another Uber Virgin like me😄

          Google: Uber Fare Estimate

At the moment, a ride from Indooroopilly shopping centre to city is about $21.
But there may be other costs & price varies with demand.

$50 covers 1 way fare across most of Brisbane.

    PRIZES
    10. A total of 100 Uber vouchers will be available to be redeemed during the Promotion Period.

    1. Total gifting pool totals at 50 vouchers x $100 RRP = $5,000 RRP.

    Huh?

    • Likely almost already Ozbargained.
Now over 100 clicks on Deal (to redeem in Uber)

    • +1

100 is lame. I also imagine many have claimed but won’t end up using

  • +3

I just checked it and it turns out it's only for for direct or return ride within a 0.4km radius of 322 Moggill Road,
Indooroopilly QLD 4068. So only people who live near there can use this voucher it seems

    @rollinggirl
NO! Would be a meaningless promotion if only available for people within short walking distance!

Means: Can catch to or from shopping centre or up to 400m away from it.
So drop off / pick up across the road etc is fine.

    • Thank you! XD English is my second language

      • No worries😄
(Always wonder what non-English speakers make of that Aussie saying!)

You aren't the only one to misunderstand it

Its put in a legalistic language often used in T&C. Really needs a simplified explanation!

There was a similar deal last year around xmas. They have developed the centre heaps and there is nowhere near enough parking at very busy times like BF and Xmas. Lots of complaints and competitors (like Mt Ommaney Centre) were advertising on billboards about their "free range parking" etc. Maybe getting out on the front foot this time to moderate parking?

    • It’s actually a half decent centre now. Million times better than Carindale.

  • -2

With the current roadworks happening at Indooroopilly, it's a better option to walk than taking an Uber.. my 2 cents

    • +1

Walk from where $50 Uber ride would take you (most of Brisbane).
      Don't think so.

  • All gone, no vouchers left after logging in.
