  This is my go-to set for recipro blades. It comes with a quality lockable case for them as well. Good price!

  Edit: It looks like this case is a different design to the ones I have brought before. So I can't vouch for the case, but I assume it's fine.

  Would these blades help remove a top of a small stump?

  I bought Makita wood cutting long ones but seem to not really work/ way to long so have been looking to buy other blades

    What sort of wood? I've used these and some more agressive wood cutting ones to remove a whole tree before so yes, they're solid.

    Recips really only work well when the tip of the blade is never inside the item you are cutting. It will slice through almost any timber like butter with one of these wood blades.

    for smaller trees, I have often used a long blade to cut roots under the ground in the dirt, and remove the stump completely. bit of wrestling involved, but a much better finish!!

  What's an economical blade for cutting through mortar to remove bricks? All masonry blades I've seen are quite expensive. Would a cheap wood blade be good enough for mortar, albeit ruining a few I'm sure.

    These cheapies from Bunnings should do if it's not too many bricks. I've used Aldi WorkZone discs that are like these and they worked fine.
    Once you've ground out around the brick as deep as the blade will reach, you can use a flat bolster chisel to loosen the rest of the mortar.
    If the brick still won't come loose go round it with a masonry bit/ SDS bit in a hammer drill/ SDS drill every 15mm or so to loosen/ break up the remaining mortar, then try the bolster again. Once one brick is out the rest will be easier to remove.
    Of course, this method only applies if you want to save the bricks.

    If you have lots of bricks to remove and have a SDS drill these brick removal chisels bits are by far the best way to do it, quick and hardly any dust.
