  • 15OT51 works for you?

    • nope

    • Yes it does, I think this code is single use per account.

      • You're the only one as it doesn't work for anyone else.

        • That is weird, both 15OT51 and 12OT21 work for me on this item. Do they need to be collected beforehand on the sale page https://www.aliexpress.com/gcp/300001062/Mainvenue maybe?

        • The 11SALE* codes do not work for me, all claimed, but these 2 do work still. Not sure why.

  • I get min $570 including tax, how do you get $470 delivered?

2nd code wouldnt work for me, does it have to be in USD?

Keen if its actually $470 total

    • Have you collected the US$19 store coupon?

      • Yes but the 2nd coupon doesnt work, and even with the 2nd code tax takes above 500 AUD

(Ive not used the coupon so not sure why it doesnt work)

        • Try switching to USD?

          • @solomonk: no change, and you need to pay tax into AU. AUD or USD the landed price is $547 unless another valid coupon pops up

The 15OT51 coupon codes have all been claimed unfortunately.

  • Doesn’t work

I see Bang Bang VIP Store code X9DW3DUCO25K save $3.16. Good luck!

Genuine question. If you’re spending this much, why not buy an iPad with local warranty and long software support?

Is there some Android exclusive app you all need?

    No fanboy trolling…just interested.

I’m personally hanging out for a Xiaoxin Pad 2022 deal again, but that’s only ~$150 so more of an impulse, lower risk purchase.

It's quite literally half the price of the iPad mini with equivalent storage.

      • So storage size and form factor are you priorities? That’s why you’d go this over the base iPad for $500?

Cheapest iPad at JB is last gen 3GB RAM and 64GB storage, and it's still more expensive than this deal at $499

      https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/apple-ipad-10-2-inch-64gb…

      • I would imagine 3GB of ram would be fine for running iOS.

        Storage is shit but yeah.

If the ipad mini had 120hz then yeah, but after using 120hz on all devices just cant go back to 60hz.

Ipad mini also costs a few hundred more

      • Interesting. Don’t think I’ve seen a display over 60hz. Growing up watching analog PAL video at 50hz has made more not fussy with displays I guess👨‍🦲🤓

        • If you are still using 50hz pal , you need to treat your eyes to 120hz

      • I don't think they're talking about the iPad mini? The iPad base model (9th gen) is cheaper than the mini, air, and pro.

    • Thanks for the insights everyone.

Sad someone still felt the need to vote me down for just wanting to understand and learn another perspective.

      • looks like a cool little portable tablet, i dont believe there is many good offers in the android space other than lenovo tabs and over priced samsung tablets. There is also just the fact some people prefer android or are also deep into the android eco-system, including the apps. Personally i think ipads offer a better user experience, and i do prefer the long term support for ios. Personally i'm waiting for the expensive m3 pros.

        • It's a personal preference thing. iOS offers a better user experience within the confines of what it lets you do. I advise my older friends (65+) to get iPhones & Macs because it's easier for them.

At the same time it makes other things harder as Apple puts too many restrictions in place. Trying to talk a distinctly non-technical friend through how to allow remote access so I can fix their problems is an exercise in patience a saint would fail.

Honestly a fair comparison if you are just looking for a powerful small tablet, price becomes less relevant when there is so little choice. iPad mini is amazing and I was debating between the two tablets before buying this tablet at launch. I ended up choosing this tablet over the iPad mini for several reasons:

      1. Dual USB C port, so I can charge the tablet while having my headphones plugged in.
      2. The ability to side load apps
      3. Display alt mode / USB C 3.2 support, so I can plug the tablet to my TB4 dock at home or connect to a USB C hub when at work. That being said, I found the desktop mode implementation to be absolutely garbage unless you manually change the dpi so I only use the mirror mode.
      4. Customisable home screens, icons, launchers cause it is something I enjoy doing.
      5. Higher refresh rate screen I suppose, I know most people can immediately tell the difference between 120hz and 60hz display, but I honestly can't see the difference. Both on this tablet or on my monitors.

That said, I am jealous of the apple pencil. Apple is on a different ball game when it comes to stylus support and integration. The mini is also lighter and way more user friendly. But as someone who's upgrading from an ancient nexus 7, I don't mind a little bit of tinkering here and there to get an acceptable performance.

      I didn't neg you btw.

    • Because I don't want to go through the pain of having the Apple rectal implant inserted.

  • Any body ordered 16+512GB, how much was the final price? Thanks

  • can't get the stated price?

  • Real Q is why 8.8inch Tablet when your phone is already 6-7"?

    • +1

It's a tablet designed for portable mobile gaming or streaming. Tablets are also wider than a phone.

    • Because they are totally different beasts.
