When these were in full swing these were and are in my option, one of the best on the market, something equivalent to this would be the Tivo models , but it has also become an exclusive, it seems the only known and long lasting well distributed performer is Topfiled. they sure pay off especially if you have young and big kids.
Why would you say Topfield is better? Mine ( TF71000HDPVRt) is atrocious, crashing quite often, needing a to be set up from scratch completely. I was hoping to find something reasonably priced, but more dependable. And I've been considering the DP-P2 from HN. Is there any reason why that would not be better than my Topfield?
No TAPS support. The firmware you official D/L is what you are stuck with. However, you are stuck with a generally stable machine.
Harvey Norman deal was better. At least you get AV-In on the DP-P2
I went the day after that post was added and none left , they had other models but none that was worth considering, JB HI FI and Bing Lee still have a couple of old stock in store floating around but still asking for big figures on the Beyonwiz models

ive had one of these for about 2 years. very easy to use for recording and for playing items from a plugged in external HDD via usb. the refurb model was this price back then.
My DP-P1 has been serving me well for 3.5 years now… product line hasn't been updated a lot recently… but i am still happy with my pvr :)
i have no idea why these are so expensive and surely not even worth it
