The price in title is after all stacking discounts have been applied, using a trade-in device valued at $5.

I was not able to complete checkout because Asurion (the trade-in provider) is broken for me but I expect it should work for others.

To get this price:

  1. Install the Samsung Shop app to take advantage of the 10% discount for your first in-app order. Use the app for the remaining steps.
  2. Add the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 512GB to your cart. You must choose from the online exclusive colours only.
  3. Navigate to Computing & Display > Memory & Storage > Memory Card > EVO Plus microSD Card. Add 2 of the 64GB to your cart.
    This should now have activated the additional 20% off advertised here: https://www.samsung.com/au/youmake/
    If it hasn't taken effect, try forcing your cart to update by incrementing the quantity of SD cards, then decrementing.
  4. Add a trade in device to take advantage of the $600 trade-in bonus. You can use the TradeUp app to generate a $1 code for generic headphones (Or so I've heard. Asurion doesn't work for me. I added a $5 Huawei Mate 20 for testing.)
    For reference, my total at this point is $1,382.
  5. Apply your 10% loyalty code.
  6. Apply your $100 loyalty code.
  7. Apply your $50 newsletter code.

I featured this particular device because it is eligible for the trifecta of bonus trade-in, stacking 10% discounts, and 20% off with the https://www.samsung.com/au/youmake/ bundle. For example, the 256GB model does not work, but the 1TB does. It may also apply to the S23 Ultra and Flip5. If it's not working, try testing combinations of other low-value products advertised in the above link instead of the SD cards.

        • I used the 2x 128GB today to make a purchase, but yesterday I was using 1x 128GB and 1x 256GB and had the 20% youmake discount before stock ranout at checkout. I don't have any confirmation of that today though.

    Just managed to process fold5 256GB + 2x 128GB drives for $885.38 total. Happy with that, after missing the secret10 with the 512GB running out of stock.

    It wouldn't let me add the 10% device loyalty discount with the drives in the cart, had to remove those, apply code, then re-add and the you make came back.

      • Everyone seems to have different steps, but for me I couldn't apply the 10% loyalty discount with a cart with USB drives in it.

          • @pyramid: Yep, the 256GB cards don't apply the YouMake discount which would usually be 20% (phone + 2 sd cards).
            Only the 64GB/128GBs do. Likely why the 256GB is readily available at all times!

  • After struggling for last 2 days, i was finally able to get Fold5 Blue 1TB with 2x 128GB SD cards for $1,222.28 but my order is saying awaiting approval and email also says it is currently being reviewed.

    Is it standard process to do review? How long does it take and has anyone's order been cancelled?

    So it seems that the best time to try and get a cheaper deal via usb's/sd's would be early in the morning around 7am~ from the previous experience of the people here. Reminder that the #youmake ends at midnight on the 22nd (that is 11:59pm on the 22nd), so those still keen should either try their best early in the morning or just bite the bullet and go for the buds if they're in stock.

    • Yesterday the USBs restocked sometime before I checked at 7:20am, today they restocked sometime before 7:15am when I checked.

      • Their Return policy clearly says you can. I called and got confused deflection type answers. I pressed a little and got confirmation we can.

        To be honest i might just keep them. I got the phone so cheap im happy. I got the pro buds and given i came from apple and airpod pros, would be good to see how they go.

        The ultra has to be the best phone ive used. Its early days but my goodness, the camera is incredible. Phone is so smooth, the s pen i wont use but love fiddling with.

        This night be my greatest OZB acquisition ever.

          • @bargainfinder: Hry mate i was one of the people who was trying on the first day but couldnt check out due to ausiron issues.
            Lowest i could get and check out with was $865. With buds pro2 for $1080. If i added a third item it would have taken the buds and phone down another 5%

            On that first day i was almost able to check out for about $800 with two 64gb SDs, but mate super happy with it. I was about to pay $1799 earlier in the week.

            I came from an iphone 13 Pro Max if that helps. Only dabbled in android, mainly samsungs.

          Note this was for a freebie stupid case (which they wanted included) i got with an S23 Ultra phone.

      The newsletter $50 code you sign up to the newsletter and get a voucher instantly. Be sure that the e-mail you use to checkout the cart with is the same as this, otherwise you will lose the $50 newsletter voucher upon checkout.

      • Just want to say that i did this when this deal originally dropped. Got my ultra for $865.

        I received the phone, love it so much want to get one for my mum whos been helping with my kids and stuff. Obviously mustn't of included the $100 last time.

        The key was to add the trade in first, then the 10%. Then the $100+50. Its the 10% which wipes your other codes. If this happens, start again with 10% and readd.

        Followed your way to add, and this time got the full monty $765!

  • Final update from me for this thread:

    Received phone on 19th, 6 days after placing the order. It came with both packages (the phone and the buds).

    Box was slightly damaged but otherwise, perfectly fine and minimal packaging phone (still miss getting a charger brick, but oh well).

    The shipment notification came about an hour before it arrived (and I had already gotten the tracker before this through online chat, as they never ended up sending it until it basically arrived).

    Butchered the screen protector, but luckily it was a package with two inside.

    Still waiting on the e-parcel code to hand in my trade-in, but overall fairly happy at the cheap phone and fairly prompt delivery time.

    • The 10% loyalty voucher was wiping out the $100 and $50. When i logged out and logged back in, it all worked together.

      • Log off, uninstalled, the 10% loyalty voucher says applied, but there no discount.

        • clear cart, uninstall app.

          install app, add phone, apply trade in, add 10% code. does it work?

      Follow xis123's method, all the codes work for both 256GB and 1TB, I only tried on the grey ones. You may need to clear the app data or reinstall it.

      Tried today… zfold5 blue 256 and memory cards… the 10% loyalty code DID NOT work for me..

      Rest of the codes worked..

        Try applying 10% loyalty before adding memory cards. Mine wouldn't work with anything else in the cart. The youmake came back and the 10% loyalty persisted after adding back the youmake USB drives.

  • Does the trade up app block you when you try to generate too many trade in codes? Or is it being glitchy tonight?

    • I believe you can only have 1 trade going at a time, and resets after you've sent your trade in device in.
      You have to use a different account and ID to generate another trade in code.

      U wont be able to cancel until it has been approved. So jus keep checking until it progress to the next stage.

    • Just sell it on the market place for under $200.

      You make is 20% and Loyal is 10%, I went with the loyal as I didn't want the hassle of re-selling the buds and you don't have to buy the 1TB version.

  • Usb C are back in stock. Couldn't get the 64gb to work with a 512gb ultra but the 128gb worked fine. Total price was $772.

      • Lots of messing around, but pretty much try the methods just above in the comments. I tried so many I'm not 100% sure which one I used in the end, but I think the galaxy watch one was good then I switched out the number of watches for usbs incrementally.

    This afternoon I managed to pick up a Fold 5 256GB Online Exclusive Blue + 2x Buds 2 Lavender for $1148 (with $75 trade in for an old phone)

    Fold 5 256GB: $827.80 (with $75 extra trade in on top of $600 bonus)
    2 x Buds 2 Lavender: $320.44
