The price in title is after all stacking discounts have been applied, using a trade-in device valued at $5.

I was not able to complete checkout because Asurion (the trade-in provider) is broken for me but I expect it should work for others.

To get this price:

  1. Install the Samsung Shop app to take advantage of the 10% discount for your first in-app order. Use the app for the remaining steps.
  2. Add the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 512GB to your cart. You must choose from the online exclusive colours only.
  3. Navigate to Computing & Display > Memory & Storage > Memory Card > EVO Plus microSD Card. Add 2 of the 64GB to your cart.
    This should now have activated the additional 20% off advertised here: https://www.samsung.com/au/youmake/
    If it hasn't taken effect, try forcing your cart to update by incrementing the quantity of SD cards, then decrementing.
  4. Add a trade in device to take advantage of the $600 trade-in bonus. You can use the TradeUp app to generate a $1 code for generic headphones (Or so I've heard. Asurion doesn't work for me. I added a $5 Huawei Mate 20 for testing.)
    For reference, my total at this point is $1,382.
  5. Apply your 10% loyalty code.
  6. Apply your $100 loyalty code.
  7. Apply your $50 newsletter code.

I featured this particular device because it is eligible for the trifecta of bonus trade-in, stacking 10% discounts, and 20% off with the https://www.samsung.com/au/youmake/ bundle. For example, the 256GB model does not work, but the 1TB does. It may also apply to the S23 Ultra and Flip5. If it's not working, try testing combinations of other low-value products advertised in the above link instead of the SD cards.

        Its not uncommon. I got scammed before and I had a friend who had the phone robbed while being inspected

        These sort of incidents are too small to go on the news

        Even when making police report, the policemen said they will investigate but really they couldn't do anything :(

      [email protected] and ask for 10% loyalty code.

      Make sure to add your phone number they will call you which will be faster then email response.

      Bought S23 Ultra 512GB and cancelled 2x Buds2 Pro 18/10 morning.

      Received phone 20/10 morning and got refund processed emails from Samsung and PayPal 20/10 arvo for the buds.

      • I bought the Flip 5 and cancelled 2x Buds 2 on 18/10

        I do not receive the phone yet and no refund email, I guess the refund process start when the order is changed to delivered?

      received the phone on Thursday, I had cancelled the 2 x buds. No refund email yet! contacted Samsung about it and they just gave me a vague answer along the lines of - you cannot cancel the items that are bundled together unless you cancel the whole bundle which shows they are unsure about their own process as I was able to cancel just the buds. But haven't received any refund processed email yet.

        Just wait. The more ppl asking chat, the more they’re aware on the exploit and might patch it up for future :(. There are very few things the CS can do in term of our order

        There is only one cancel button. Once selected it will give you the option to select what you want to cancel from that order.

              @CyberMurning: I could see it almost instantly after ordering as my order was accepted straight away.
              Maybe the delay is related to payment method, whether it is a new account they need to verify, allocation of stock or something else.
              I used an existing account that i had previously ordered on and paid by CC, not paypal.

    • I got mine for $837. I didn't have the $100 loyalty voucher at the time. I was happy to but it at the price.

  • Does anyone know what happens if I don't send my phone on to Asurion? I got a $60 trade in discount for my Huawei however the phone still works well and I'm not confident they will accept it anyway based on reviews. The phone is 4 years old and in great condition. They have charged me $60 on my credit card will there be any extra charges of I don't return?

      You will be charged another $60 non return fee. I sent my Huawei mate 10 for trade in a couple of years ago. They accepted without any issue. Unless your Huawei worth much more than $120, I would send it in.

        For me,
        Can't change 64GB card number to 2
        If add 128GB card first, it will remove 10% code, $100 code and $50 code

  • Finally was able to get the fold 1tb for $1231. Used the 128 and 64gb sd cards for the promo and cancelled them straight away, hopefully someone else can do the same with recycling the cards for others to purchase.

        you have to go via the browser, wont show in the app. Mine were in the processing status

          It's cancellable on both the website and the app but only at the preparing order stage.

      • Yes need to wait for it to be approved and before it is at the dispatch stage i.e. only cancellable while it sits at stage 3

        • Try another colour buds2. Only white colour buds2 suits my graphite s23 ultra 512. adding other colour buds2 will always remove all the codes

    The Asurion non return fee for trade in used to be $30 for trade in value < $10 (ie .earbuds etc), not $60 however I couldn't find the $30 Vs $60 non return fees anywhere now. Any idea fellow ozbargainers?

I finally got it working just before midnight on the 512gb size so I jumped on it. I chose to send in my old s7edge which gave a $5 value. I'm tempted to order another one now with some crappy earphones!

                      @attalisie: Yes, as they proportion some part of the discount, so the more expensive the add-on, make the phone part slightly higher. Hence the best/cheapest is still adding 2 memory/usb for the one lucky enough to get stock (even if u cancel the buds)

        Price will depend on what you are trying to bundle the phone with. It seems to change if you bundle with micro sd, usb c stick, buds 2 or buds 2 pro but expect the phone to be $760 at most for S23U 512gb if all the codes are working.
        Also works for certain combinations of colours and accessories. For eg, it might only work with white buds and not graphite colour but this seems to change as well. The graphite 256GB S23U was working with the 128gb type C before but didnt seem to work today.

                      • @Ash-Say: Try a different colour combination. Pretty sure xis123 go that price with buds2 (not pro) and non pro buds2 have been OOS so it isnt something he tested right now. Either way, something that worked yesterday is not guaranteed to work today either.

                        I found it has nothing to do with the order of the codes. I put the 10% off first, last, before or after adding bundle items and it still works if is is allowed. All that matters is if Samsung have not blocked that combination from working.
