Keys, backpack, car, etc.
Attach it to your keys. If you lose your phone you can double click it to make your phone ring.
I have them attached to my dogs collar and a couple of sets of car keys. When we travel I put them in any checked luggage.
These are good for stalking someone 😆
Just need to sedate them to attach
Daughter is just coming back from lever's and last night left her bag somewhere at the lever's complex and this morning she called me to see if I could track the bag as I had put a air tag inside. found the bag was at the police station and as she called them they confirmed they have it with all the content still inside. Great result.
Isn't the new Google one better?
Has Google released one yet? Link?
Search Google Tiles
Maps Tile API.
Are you thinking of Tile Trackers?
@ihfree: Yes
@Mortin: Tile trackers are not manufactured by Google. Google has no tags of there own. But they released a new find my feature that's inbuilt to android. This allows third party manufactures (Tile / Samsung Tag / Chipolo) to use the off-line finding features and all other crowd source locating features without installing a third party app.
@Skarpi TT: Yes, that's what I am talking about. However, afaik, Samsung Tags don't work with Google network, it only works on Samsung. So you will need another Samsung phone, not just any Android, to track your tag. Where as Tile and Chipolo can be tracked with any Android phones including Samsung
@Mortin: Looked into it, the Google network is off by default so it sounds like it's useless has no one would turn the phone on unless they specifically bought A tag
Using Find My network but not released by Google
@ihfree: Ah, I get you. No, Google hasn't manufactured their own trackers, they've just released their own tracking network. I expect there will be a Pixel Tag at some point, maybe with the release of their next phone.
No, as Google is more cautious about privacy than Apple and Samsung have been. Hopefully this changes as Google strikes a better balance.
I asked the Samsung shop and they said Samsung phones also have to be manually turned on to participate in the network? I couldn't find any proper answers
Is this the best option for android users (non-Samsung owners)?
You can't use it with a non Samsung phone, AFAIK.
Bummer! I've been using a Tile mate for a few years but hate having to replace them because of a dead battery.
that's why I use Tile Pro
New Motorola ones I think will work the best. I think they're coming to Aus. https://www.motorola.com/us/moto-tag/p?skuId=1167
Nice, when I purchased the Smarttags, they seemed to be the best option. I would have loved something that wasn't tied to a specific manufacturer.
No, you can only use Galaxy tags with Samsung Galaxy devices.
The best alternative for Android users is Chipolo which uses Google's Find My Device Network.
Have found these to be a little buggy. When they work they're great. When they won't connect to your account, the advice from Samsung is to factory reset your phone.

Ha! What a joke!
To be fair any conversation with Samsung support is that you should factory reset your phone firstly before trying anything else.
When I bought a brand new Samsung phone and had a problem with the initial setup they asked me to re factory reset
Google needs to release generic android ones
Google has released their open Find My Device Network. Chipol offers trackers for generic Android users which utilises Google's network.
I uesd these ones recenlty in Japan.
Not sure how they compare to others but I was able to locate and track my bags while using the lugagge forwarding services over there with no issues.
Just pulled the trigger, now with 30% off on ebay plus. Got them for $89.60.
$88,90 from Dick Smith eBay. 4 Units left, be quick.how are you getting $88.90?
When I look at the OP's deal via ebayplus, it comes down to $99.84.
Following your link, I can only get a price of $127.
The BFRI30 coupon code expired. It was pulled by eBay because it probably applied to every item on eBay, regardless of seller. This was a mistake and eBay pulled it in a hurry a few moments ago.
thanks for letting me know!
@clandestino: if you use BF2420, it'll bring it down to $102.40
Apart from putting one of these in a luggage, attched to pet or child, whatelse can it be used for?
