You could activate a Telstra starter SIM without adding any value and it could receive SMS, probably incoming calls too(?). I don't know if they still work that way though.

      Got a reply from Boost Mobile via chat

      The new policy was implemented first week of April this year, as we're trying to lessen SIM replacement requests to avoid fraud issues. I'm not sure why the previous agent did proceed with the transfer.
      Please also be advised that this would be the last time we'll honor this process. If you have more $30 SIM cards, we would suggest to sell those.

      I won’t update the FAQ just yet, but I’ll try again in a month’s time if it’s true

  • Has anyone else had tracking issues with cr? I'm not referring to yesterday's deal but in general. I'm still waiting for my missing cb claim to be resolved after multiple weeks.

    Hopefully it'll be rectified by next week but imo it shouldn't be this tedious and time consuming

      Sorry to hear. Best to contact the rep tightarse.
      I found CR's tracking to be the most reliable compared to the competitors and also faster resolution if any issues

      In my own experience, if it didn't track, then there is a good chance the claim will be denied. I think everytime I submit a claim it has been denied because "the transaction was not attributed to Cashrewards".

      I normally use Chrome, but if I want to get cashback with my transaction, I usually use another default settings browser with no addons installed that I don't normally use, like Edge. Worked well so far with both CR and SB, but sometimes I forget.

      • Weird. I've only ever had it not track twice and both times I submitted a claim and was approved. I always use the CR app however.

        And if you are using a VPN, you significantly increase the likelihood of failed tracking. Always turn VPNs off prior to using CR, and use the CR app if you can.

      I tried several times and kept on getting the same error message. Very frustrated. I don't have VPN.
