Appears that ebay was setting delivery to my postcode, but that was breaking the search….. weird.

    EVO == EWWW

  • Reckon this thing would perform in a dashcam or nah phone only?

      • thanks, looks like ill need to wait for a high endurance sd card deal, my current dashcam has a high endurance card already but wanted a second card as a backup, thought i could get away with this card but seems like itd be a bad choice, constant read and write demands high endurance and durability

        • +1

You should get an endurance card.

But I've been using a regular SanDisk Ultra. Two cameras at 1080p. Runs 9 hours a day, 6 days a week for the past 2 years.

          • @The Value: does videos stutter if not endurance or what is the reason to get it?

            • @pinkybrain: I don't know exactly. I assume they're built for extensive and constant writing.

My 20sec review. I have 5 of them. Used them with Sony a7iii shooting raw at max resolution: I can manage about 8 shots before it starts buffering. Used it with gopro 11 shooting 4K linear at 60 fps. Never had an issue (although I never shoot longer than 10 min).
Using two for storage, works fine and surprisingly fast. Hope it helps!

    • Just to add to this there is no benefit of getting a 'faster' microSD like the Samsung PRO Plus or Sandisk Extreme Pro in a Sony camera. They both perform identically in camera to the EVO.

      • that's helpful didn't know that, thanks mate :)

      • Why do you say that? See the opposite here https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/61043503

        • 1) They aren't talking about the V30 UHS-1 MicroSD cards in that post, they are talking about the V90 full size UHS-II SD cards. SanDisk don't advertise their microSD cards as 300MB/s cards.

          2) I've tested the EVO, PRO Plus and Extreme Pro in my Sony A1 https://imgur.com/a/mOVL7KZ and while V90 UHS-II SD cards and CFExpress Type A cards make a meaningful difference, proprietary UHS-I formats (PRO Plus/Extreme PRO) do not and they bottleneck to the UHS-I speed limit (~100MB/s).

    Thanks OP, grabbed a 256 for $21.
Don't need, but can never have too many in the drawer

    • these microsd cards are the new eneloop addiction

      • Absolutely!
It all makes sense, I've hit critical mass of spare eneloops so was clearly filling a hole in my life.
        I feel seen

  • Are these good for GoPro? Thank you

    • -1

      no

      • Why not mate?

        • SD Cards That Work With GoPro Cameras

microSD card with v30 or UHS-3 rating

Samsung: EVO Plus, EVO Select, PRO Plus Series: 128/256/512GB

          https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considera…

The GoPro Hero 11 recording bitrate does not exceed the V30 rating (120Mbs or 200Mbs with labs = max 25 MB/s write) so no point getting a faster card than the EVO.

          • @eecan: interesting … my bad then .. the EVO wasnt in the list before

  • Postage:
    Item doesn't post to you

    very strange.
