Is there a noticeable difference between v60 and v90? SD Card marketing is so bad
No unless you need V90 for certain video formats. Or unless you're spamming 30fps photos on certain cameras.
Yeah I never even really saw sd cards as good enough for that, I use CFExpress B, which alot of cameras that can hit that frame rate will support anyways
Yes. Very much so. V90 is much quicker and I never hit the buffer when shooting.
some cameras require v90 to shoot 4k 120fps video
For example, certain cinema cameras wont accept anything less than v90 cards if you're shooting at the maximum resolution and bit rate. You insert a v60 card and the camera will simply say "card not compatible".
Ooo interesting, fair enough thank you ozbargainers, my gf just got an xt5 and it looks like that needs a v60 or better so will stick to v60. Might consider v90 for my xh2
yes.
I bought 3 of these, 1-2 sectors failed in each after 2-3yrs.
Lexar are sh*t apparently now, since change of ownership.
Nah I just looked into it and this is actually pretty good pricing for a v90 sd card, a bit of a niche speed but yeah.

Actually, massive overkill and a complete waste of money for most cameras.
For most… but this is a niche type of card. There will be some that require a v90 and this is a good deal for them
Yes, that's what "most" means
Your comment was invalidating the deal though
@fAffY: Not for people who can read (also "most").
For almost anyone with a camera, this is massive overkill and a complete waste of money as they will see exactly ZERO benefit over the much cheaper (but also fast) cards.
This is not difficult.
@fAffY: You know that you can see when people make a negative vote to "invalidate" the deal, right?
And you know that we can see your initial "what even is this" comments as well, right?
"Experts" in here are so laughable most of the time.
@mickeyjuiceman: Brother! When did I claim to be an expert! I am trying my best to clarify things for others but also yes sue me for asking my initial question.
I did my research afterwards and thought it would be worth keeping that initial question there for anyone who felt the same and can see the replies to my comment which clarified.
You certainly are acting all high and mighty while calling people experts which is funny
The 256gb SanDisk Extreme Pro 280/150MB/s U3 V60 UHS-II card is down to $105 through Amazon US, I just ordered two for my Canon R6 ii, same card is $299 at JB
Could be good option for someone that is happy with a V60 card.
What's the link?
Not comment OP but I found it by this amazon listing(amazon.com.au) and looking at "Other sellers on Amazon".
That's the one!
v60. i prefer v90 for motorsport photography.
That card will be too slow if you plan to do decent bursts in RAW. It can only write at a maximum of 150Mb/s, whereas the OP's V90 can write at 260Mb/s (tested on my Canons) - huge difference - an extra 3 frames of RAW per second so they will clear the buffer much faster.
I use these V90s on my R8 & R10.
I would definitely pay the extra $45 for the V90.
149 seems insane considering this is available for $50?

It looks to be slightly slower but still UHS-ii and 128 gb?? Am I missing something??
