OZB_GHOST_SPECIAL

Morning OzBargain!

Again, I’m just astonished at how much support we’ve received from our last deal. We’ve only just had the time to whip up a new deal after fulfilling our orders.

I will keep it short and sweet again for OzBargain. Today, we’ll run back a similar 4070 build like our last deal but with some changes! Unfortunately, the new AMD stock prices have gone up due to our Aussie dollar dipping slightly to the US dollar and increased costs overall from AMD. I have done everything I can again in this new deal to bring the price down from our previous one without compromising quality. We are now using an upgraded MSI B650 board compared to the Gigabyte B650 K (better build quality and more ports available). I have beat the PCPartPicker price by $173 despite all this using the latest componentry with marginal discounts.

As always, our prices are unbeatable in the industry with the componentry we use as we operate on the slimmest margins.

You will receive a free copy of Starfield (valued at $119.95) with each purchase as part of our promotion!

Our reviews and Google Reviews are a testament to our service

We’ve also been working extremely hard with the feedback given over the months and are excited to announce the following:

  • We are now stocking more white options due to popular demand – you’ll notice a white chassis, CPU coolers, keyboards and mice!
  • We are now stocking accessories that we think have astronomical value. This includes peripherals like Keychron keyboards, premium mouse mats and MSI monitors! There are bundle and save options available as well with your purchase!
  • We are now also stocking premium Noctua CPU fan coolers due to popular demand
  • The all-new Lian Li Galahad II Trinity has just landed in Australia and is in stock with us
  • We have increased our Staffing to offload workload and improve operations so that I can focus on working out the best bargains for the community
  • Any bottlenecks in our workflow have been eliminated and where possible we have automated workflows

To maintain our service quality, our despatch times are now estimated to be 7-10 business days as we still are a small team and are finding difficulty meeting demand. We strive to work to work on your PC immediately, our working schedules have currently been the time we wake up and sleep 7 days a week. Our promise is that quality comes first for us, we do not rush our work.

Once despatched, our delivery times are unbelievably fast as we use premium express couriers nationwide to uphold our service! The following are our estimated delivery time frames with our couriers after despatch:

  • Metro Sydney – Same-day delivery (for business addresses, authority to leave and customers available to take delivery)
  • Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong, and Newcastle - Same-day delivery (for business addresses, authority to leave and customers available to take delivery)
  • All other non-listed major regional town in NSW - Next business day
  • Metro Melbourne – Next business day
  • Metro Brisbane – Next business day
  • ACT – Next business day
  • Metro Adelaide – 2 business days
  • Tasmania – 3-4 business days
  • Metro Perth – 5 business days
  • Northern Territory – 5-7 business days

What makes us different?

  • Guaranteed within one business hour response times for email, phone and live chat support
  • We’re proud to offer a fair and transparent price that our competitors struggle to match with a quality service
  • Usage of only premium high-end components with the absolute best value
  • All necessary drivers and software installed
  • Each PC is quality controlled seriously before despatch, we run checks on all components multiple and stress tests including 3DMark and MemTest86 - your test results will be saved to your desktop for you to view
  • 3 years return to base warranty and lifetime support included on all purchases
  • All PCs shipped are packaged carefully – no internals can move during transit as we use Instapak foam that moulds around parts inside along with fragile stickers and tape all over your box
  • Your PC is built with passion, we don’t take shortcuts and keep all cabling tidy whether you can see them or not

This deal will run for strictly one week until next Sunday, July 16th. Our stock is extremely scarce with the amount we've secured for this deal!

            • @Nebula PC: Purchased! Your replies went the distance. No apology needed, was trying to come off as a fyi :)

              • @Gravehaunted: No stress at all! Just wanted to get to the bottom of the issue :).

  • Two quick question:
    1. Does the stock mobo comes with wifi or do I need to upgrade it?
    2. How come the site doesn't show the storage (ssd)?

    • Hi cciputra,

No wifi on the stock motherboard will have to either upgrade the motherboard or opt for a wifi card (better performance and reliability) available here - https://gyazo.com/e378bf757559eca464be8629d421c33b

Could you please press the support/accessories tabs at the top to see the different options available? Including SSD, wifi and more? See here - https://gyazo.com/0acb696648eaf8b52a4abd313490baf2

Let me know if you get stuck!

      Cheers.

      • thanks so much! i found it now…

        another quick one.
I see there is an upgrade option available for the CPU to Ryzen 7. whilst I know that less core means more seamless processing, how much faster is the recommended Ryzen 7 compared to the current stock for this deal?

also, which case would you recommend that will not attract much (or any) dusts into the box/easier to keep clean?

        • It depends on your workload. If you are doing more multitasking and productivity, the 7700X would be the best option if your budget allows it. It'd eliminate the bottleneck between the CPU and GPU - https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1je1fl/1/…

Best to go with a Lian Li Lancool 216. They're great cases, with awesome design and airflow. They also have dust trays you can remove easily to clean.

        • @cciputra:

          CPU-Cooling Upgrade
1st priority for any extra cash is to upgrade the CPU-cooler & it's as per recommended. AMD-7600X & upwards runs hot. Just look at the cooling used in tests to keep the temp. down.
          https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-5-7600x/25.html
          https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-5-7600x/5.html

          CPU-Upgrade
Unless you have big budget & do other CPU-tasks while gaming, is upgrading the CPU needed ?
          Also, is gaming @ 1440P necessary ?

          Dust
Gaming systems runs hot & need good airflows to cool ALL-components. Dust is UN-avoidable & maintenance is required.

  • our working schedules have currently been the time we wake up and sleep 7 days a week.

Uhh, my friends, that should not be a point of pride. I'm very sure your customers would accept longer ETAs if it means you get to be human beings and not slaves to the grind.

Appreciate the deal and thoroughness and clear passion, but that doesn't sound sustainable or desirable. I would hope nobody on here would support that level of self-flagellation.

    • +3

We're all good mate! No stress haha.

It's by choice so that we can provide the best possible deals for the community. It's not to the extent of slavery, we love what we do! It obviously won't be forever regarding the hours, we have already increased our Staffing to reduce workload and hours for us. Our ETAs have also been extended to account for the volume :).

At the end of the day, it's a highly competitive industry where every single dollar counts, by operating on the slimmest of margins we are able to do what we do.

    • +2

I believe nebula was being Tongue in cheek because some competitors take forever with builds. (1 month+)

Really good they're transparent with timing but working hard for customers

  • +2

Do pay insurance! Mine was left on the porch without even a knock on the door. Otherwise an excellent service and PC

    • I deadset thought this, my street has someone walking in it at all times 6am-6pm. Theres been way too many times I go outside and find a $$$ valued package at the front door >.<

  • Hey, any pros out there just let me know if the deal is good to run on 2 1440p 144Hz monitors or do I need an upgrade CPU as I checked the bottlenecking website and it says the current AMD Ryzen 5 7600X bottlenecks the RTX 4070 by a little bit. Do I also need a better Power Supply or any other upgrades? Cheers.

    • Hey mate!

The 4070 is more than enough for a dual 1440P monitor setup. If you want to make sure there's no performance hit on multitasking and productivity, I'd recommend upgrading the CPU to the 7700X. The 650W PSU is enough for this kind of setup.

The 6% bottleneck is minute, at the end of the day no matter what setup you have there will always be a slight bottleneck between the CPU and GPU.

  • Was absolutely not in the market… but seriously tempted by this

    • Hahaha, a lot of our customers are in the same boat.

Message us if you'd like and I'm sure we can work out something with your needs!

  • Hi there I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade the motherboard to something with wifi

  • Hope you guys are able to make enough profit to stay in business for many years to come

    Well done

    • Haha, I hope so too!

We really love what we do and seeing OzBargainer's happy and satisfied is another level of happiness!

  • Does the mid size ATX cases have space for multiple 3.5 HDD?

    • Yes, it can fit two 3.5" HDDs with the tray :).

    • +1

Make sure you request the cables that you're paying for so you can use your drives

  • Just bought, and can I just say the communication via the live chat on website is just so quick and catered toward my every need. Thank you to Lawrence!

    • +1

      Legend Nate!

      Thank you for your business!

    • +1

Lawrence was a legend with me too, helped me out a lot :)

  • Been looking for 4070ti deal

the upgrade is quite pricey at 400 bucks
    any thoughts?

I have this unexplainable jearning for this card because of some review o read but not sure it is worth the premium over the 4070.

    if I buy this
likely to keep the rest as base and upgrade the fan and ssd with Ozbargain style sales (e.g. the gen4 Samsung 980 pro with heatsink I bought at 225 recently for my other 3080 Rig)

    • Hey Grang,

That's how our discounting works, we buy bulk stock and pass on the discount. For some parts, we don't stock plenty hence the slight price difference. In most cases, if you're doing 1440P gaming, the 4070 card suffices and the 4070 Ti is not necessary.

Yup! Can definitely install your own secondary SSD from the OzBargain deals! :).

      • thx for comment
for clarity, wasn't hitting on the deal. looks like a very good deal!

just been looking for a 4070ti.

It was actually your post on one of your other deals warning against a 4070 ti with underpowered CPU was a risky idea that made me rethink buying a similar 4070ti deal

        • ahh yes, the CPU right? For 4070 Ti, you'll need at least a 7700X for best performance without bottleneck!

If your budget allows for those two upgrades, you can't go wrong!

  • Highly recommend them, Bought my rig (over $4k) from them last sale. Lawrence was really responsive and helpful.

    • +1

So many legends on our threads as always! Cheers mate!

  • +1

any chance of this setup in a Mini ITX?

    • Hi Mdaddy,

Sadly we won't be doing any Mini ITX builds as the demand for them are extremely small and the parts will our pockets empty! They're not mass-produced and discounting is not great. ITX-compatible parts don't have much value in prebuilds so we aren't able to create a ripper deal like this one.

Your closest would be an mATX build with our DarkFlash DK415 case! The best value is mATX or ATX builds as they're mass-produced and stock isn't as scarce.

  • I want to get 4080 gpu instead, what else would i need to upgrade in this deal?

    • I'd recommend at least a 7700X with an aftermarket cooler and an 850W PSU :).

Shoot us a message on our live chat and we'll work it out!

      • +2

This is also the exact build I'm looking at. Any deals coming up on the 4080 or idea on price?

Separate question: Let's say I order a build through you guys and would like to upgrade perhaps the GPU and SSD next year, how would I go about that without jeopardising the back to base warranty on the build>? Could I ship back to you and you upgrade it and send the build and old parts back perhaps?

  • This or techfast 5700x/4070ti for 1788$ (if it becomes available again, or something similar)? Dont mind waiting few weeks.

    • +2

      Hey Ozbozb!

I had a similar comment about this as well. I've copied over most of what I replied on our previous deal.

It depends on where you're priorities are, if you want the 4070 Ti with DDR4 and AM4 I think that deal is the way to go!

As per this calculation, you'd be getting a 32% bottleneck anyway with that combo that you sent earlier - https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1fE1dN/1/…

      Our build is roughly 7% :) - https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1jb1fl/1/…

So even if you went with that combination, sadly the CPU won't be powerful enough to grasp the full potential of the 4070 Ti!

For our builds, we mostly use branded and the latest components (within reason) to future-proof and get the most out of buying a new PC for our customers. We don't like attracting customers with just the GPU, our builds are all around well balanced and premium quality. You also have the ability to customise your PC in multiple ways on our product builder to make it yours!

I hope this answers your question.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help mate!

      • @ozbozb Sorry links didn't copy over.

        5700X with 4070 Ti calculation - https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1fE1dN/1/…

        7600X with 4070 calculation - https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1jb1fl/1/…

        • and on 3440 × 1440 (Ultra-Wide QHD) the bottleneck on 7600x and 4070 is 1% (good Match)

this info is why I abandoned the tech fast buy on 4070ti

      • +1

Are there any plans for a 4070ti build? If not, would you be able to offer further discounts on a 7700/4070ti build?

        • +1

Unfortunately, no plans for a 4070 Ti build at this stage due to the cost. We don't get much discount with the 4070 Ti's compared to the 4070s as we're not buying them in bulk so we can't pass it on. The best price is on our website listing price my friend!

          • @Nebula PC: alright, just a final question, I was checking the intel 13600 upgrade is for 205$ where as the price difference is around 50$. Can we get any better deal on a 8C CPU (intel or AMD). I understand that you might have better discounts on the 7600x which explain the high upgrade cost, but considering we need a 40$ cooler too, I prefer to go for the 7700 or the 13600 (I am assuming these won't need the cooler?).
            Thanks

        • Beat me to it, was about to ask the same thing.

Considering the limited time offer, does that mean you have a different build offer in the pipeline though?

  • +1

Excellent service, thanks Lawrence! Picked up one for myself and a mate.

    • Thank you for your orders!

      • Lawrence hit me back immediately with a "Hey mate" on the websites direct chat just now. How customer service should be good onya mate

  • Can you please recommend a cooler you listed in your upgrade options to prevent thermal throttling please. Or any of the upgrades is ok? Mainly gaming use. Thanks.

    • AG400 is a perfect starter cooler to prevent thermal throttling :).

Other than that, all other coolers are great as well! Subject to your own preference, RGB, colour etc… The higher you go in the range the better the cooling.

      • Thanks for the super fast reply! It is Saturday night!

        • Haha no problem, we're working all weekend to cater for our new deal!

  • I have no idea about pc gaming and wanna get into it and the replies from this company have been amazing and super fast. I’m really grateful

    • +1

      Cheers Twisty!

  • The Windows 11 is unactivated? I assumed it was OEM. The Noctua air coolers are both the same model but clearly different fans and prices?

    • +1

Correct. Windows activation is an additional cost that we don't want to pass on to our customers, the software from Microsoft is costly. To activate Windows it's $130 for Home and $170 for Pro 😁. Not all customers want Windows activated as you'll still have full functionality of the software, except that it will remind you every now and then and have fewer personalisation settings.

I've fixed up the Noctua CPU coolers configuration issue. Thank you for spotting that out!

      • so windows will be installed but unactivated?

        • That is correct. Our standard installation option is Windows 11 Pro Unactivated. If you prefer another version of Windows, please let us know.

      • Thanks

  • Sorry for noob question. Any recommendations on what cpu cooler to upgrade to to avoid above said possible throttle problem?

    Thanks heaps

    • Hey Lovepub,

Not a noob question at all!

The AG400 suffices to avoid the thermal throttling issue. The other options are subject to your preference like RGB, colour etc… The higher you go in the range, typically the better cooling and quieter it gets.

  • Out of curiosity, what games would people be buying this PC to play?
Assuming this is close to very high end machine .

What are performance hungry games that need this spec?

    • Star Wars Jedi, The Last of Us, Far Cry, Cyberpunk, Starfield, Diablo 4 and less intensive games like Valorant, CSGO and League. Pretty much smashes most AAA titles on 1440P.

    • +2

The copy of Starfield honestly sold me on the deal, keen to play that and my current rig isn't good enough

    • @lovepub: 1440P resolution & those gamers are industry's favourite-sons.
Since the release of 4090, 4070 is a mere 'midrange' system.

  • Bought a previous 4070 build, would 100% recommend. Now I need to buy a 27” 1440p monitor around $500-$800 if anyone has any recommendations? 😂

  • For people who can afford to pay a little more what upgrades to the build would you recommend from the options on your site? I saw in one comment you mentioned the cooler - interested to know which alternative you'd recommend, or any other part that might be worth thinking about from a cost:benefit perspective?

Super newb at building PCs so keep that in mind :) Was going to swap to 2 x 2TB SSDs and possibly the case to the Lian Li 216…

    • Hey Joel!

I'd definitely opt for at least a DeepCool AG400 cooler or a DarkFlash S11 cooler if you like the RGB. The aftermarket coolers perform much better than the stock one.

The Lian Li 216 Lancool is one of the best cases on the market for airflow and functionality, check out this review - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_w0NbB84P0

  • I just saw that the ASUS TUF GAMING GEFORCE RTX 4070 OC - 12GB is out of stock. Will it be back in so I can swap GPU with that one ?

    • Sadly out of stock now :(. The best alternative would be able to opt fo the MSI 4070 Gaming Trio?

Let me know if that works for you!

    • Why go for that, what's the difference?

  • Could you do this build without the GPU?

    • +1

Yup! Sure can, shoot me a message on our live chat and we'll work out pricing for you without the GPU! :)

  • Highly recommend them, got my PC recently (over $2.5 K) from Nebula without the sale. Lawrence was really responsive and helpful before and after the purchase. Thanks Team Nebula 👍.

  • Any options with AMD GPUs coming in the future?

    • +1

      Not anytime soon Karlos.

Despite what people say on the media and on here, AMD GPUs don't sell as well and there's scarce stock in Australia rendering it difficult to get a good discount and mass stock to pass it on to the community. What I can do is work out swapping out the 4070 for a 7900XT for you if you wanted something along those lines? Shoot me a message on our live chat and we'll work it out!

  • Amazing write-up, mate! You have my upvote

I need some advice on getting a fast PC for mostly office use and occasional video editing. I'm not really into gaming, so I'm looking for recommendations from you guys. I've been considering the Mac Mini, but I'd love to hear your opinion.

I am currently using an ASUS ROG GL702 (GTX1060) laptop, and it's pretty slow. I want a PC with a better processor that is fast. The Mac Mini seems appealing because it's compact and reliable. If any of you have experience with the Mac Mini or know of alternative PCs, I'd really appreciate your insights. Things like processing speed, multitasking capabilities, storage options, and compatibility with popular video editing software are all important to me. If there are any other PCs you think I should look into, please let me know. Thanks!

    • +1

      Thanks, Mommu!

For productivity machines, I'm not super familiar with the Mac Mini but for video editing usually, I'd recommend at least a mid-tier CPU from Intel (the higher the better, i9 13900K would be awesome) and a solid GPU at least a 4070 Ti. It really depends on your needs and whether your video rendering and software use more of the GPU or CPU. We need to get into more details.

I do know that Apple Mac OS software, they subjectively can be better for productivity work like editing and user-friendliness. One downside is how much it'll run your pockets though haha. If you were to get either the machine from Apple or the specs I recommended, it'd be a monumental upgrade from your current laptop nevertheless! I think it comes down to personal preference and cost, I'll leave that up to you!

Feel free to send me a message on our live chat if you want to discuss further!

      Cheers.

  • Any idea when the O11 will be back in stock?

    • Hi Baa,

For us, it'll be around late August. If you wanted the O11 for this build we can work it out as well. I will order it retail for you.

Could you message me on our live chat and we'll work out the details?

  • Is this machine upgraded to a better cpu like 7700 be able to handle majority of games for the next 5-7 years?

OP please recommend with the upgrade of 7700, what else I should upgrade with it.

This machine a bit overkill for games like valorant fortnight and Diablo4?

These many upvotes means I don’t really need to do too much research on buying my first PC. Assuming nothing can go wrong with ozbargain upvotes

    • +2

      Hi Lovepub,

Id say opt for the 7700X to handle majority of games and improve multitasking (though not necessary) with a nice aftermarket fan cooler!

It definitely is overkill for those titles but it’s a great future proofed machine for years to come!

Haha definitely do a bit of research as everyone’s circumstances and requirements are different. In terms of the games listed it won’t skip a beat. It’ll also be ripper for other AAA titles.

      • thanks for the quick replies. But i forgot to put in the note to include the extra cables to go with the PSU and for future SSD expansion. are you able to put that in for me too.

        • +1

Yes for sure. Could you please PM me your order number? I will put a note right away.

  • +1

Good deal. I'm personally holding out for a 4070ti/4080 when the deal and time is right. Thanks!

  • Its not my birthday yet 😪

    • It can be Stewdogz 😁

  • I got the last 4070 kit with upgraded cooler, more case fans and a 2tb drive (came to 2.3k). My only regret was not upgrading the mobo, so it's nice to see it corrected here.

I can vouch for the tesm. Great packaging, good comms and very quick to respond. I've been enjoying Street Fighter 6 and Diablo 4 (which came with via the nvidea promo)

    • Cheers Zan!

Yes, the IT industry is so fast-paced and part availability and promotions change frequently haha.

  • Any idea is this will be good enough for Stable Diffusion?

    • Hey Gardezee,

According to their website, our specs are well above the minimum specs listed here - https://stable-diffusion-ai.art/stable-diffusion-system-requ…

According to this Reddit thread also, it seems that VRAM is the main use case. Upgrade to any GPU higher in the range that your budget allows with more VRAM!

With both being said, the base build will be enough for Stable Diffusion, but the more you upgrade that your budgets allows on the CPU and GPU you will see better performance.

  • Question, lets say i buy this PC and then next year i decide to do some upgrades on my own. How does that affect the warranty?

    • +3

It doesn't affect your warranty whatsoever as long as there's no user-induced damage or direct correlation with the new part affecting our supplied components.

We will honour the warranty no matter what parts you've switched around.

We believe in doing business fairly and will not void the warranty if our customer decides to upgrade or swap certain parts. That's unreasonable.

  • Hey @Nebula PC! Thanks for the excellent deals. About to pull the trigger on one shortly myself.

I have a few concerns, so wondering if the following can be changed (note, I'm doing an Intel build):

    • MSI Ventus 4070's are getting poor reviews comparably to other cheaper models such as PNY, Inno3D (currently $899) due to components used in their build. (See: https://preview.redd.it/84k0ouwcgsab1.png?width=1331&format=… )
Possible to add other options or have no GPU installed? Happy to buy if an $899 GPU option is offered (save $50 too!!) or even a $949 option such as the Gigabyte.

    • Similarly, if I want to pick something other than the InWin PSU there appear to be better value for money options out there than the MSI 750W PSU at roughly $145 (the next in-stock model up in the options). I'd prefer you guys to sell and install this though!
      Example: $106 - https://www.umart.com.au/product/thermaltake-700w-toughpower…

    • Finally, not interested in W11, so would prefer W10 installed even unactivated, or no OS. That an option? Experienced user here. If you'll do it cheaper without even better.

Thanks for the options and recommendations in the comments here. Going with the LL case and the AG400 cooler.
