This isn't aluminium - the outside is, but inside is all plastic.

    • Yep. Only the top lid and bottom panel is aluminium.

      Keyboard deck is plastic.

To be expected at this price, but will definitely feel plastic when typing.

      • Not concerned about the feeling when typing.

Concerned about durability - will the hinges snap if it's made of plstick?

        • This chassis havent been long enough for us to tell if its prone to snapping. In the past, it doesnt, however, the ideapad is also no thinkpad I definitely wont hold it up to the same standard.

  • Is it really the model with 100% sRGB? You'd think with something that's somehow so rare at these price points they'd want to advertise it but they don't even mention it…

    • PSRef lists it with the 100% sRGB.

      https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/2377?M=83DC003JAU

      • I know but that assumes they are actually selling that model and not the 45% NTSC variant.

        • It's listed as that model under the specs. Buy it, don't open it it unless it has that part number on the box and return if it isn't.

Edit: I'm not a wiizard btw

Here i am trying to enjoy my morning after getting made redundant… And now I have to make some critical decisions on whether to buy or not. FFS

Gotta spend those redundancy dollars somehow.

Hookers and blow or a tame budget friendly laptop.

      Such a difficult choice!
