    This isn't aluminium - the outside is, but inside is all plastic.

      Yep. Only the top lid and bottom panel is aluminium.

      Keyboard deck is plastic.

      To be expected at this price, but will definitely feel plastic when typing.

          This chassis havent been long enough for us to tell if its prone to snapping. In the past, it doesnt, however, the ideapad is also no thinkpad I definitely wont hold it up to the same standard.

        I know but that assumes they are actually selling that model and not the 45% NTSC variant.

          It's listed as that model under the specs. Buy it, don't open it it unless it has that part number on the box and return if it isn't.
