But don't see much reviews for it on google.

  • H45 in a 14' with a 54wh battery - battery life goes poof

  • DDR4 3200 - taking that performance hit on the cpu and the already 'meh' igpu

  • H45 i9s being a higher clocked i7 since 11th gen and with no ability to undervolt

  • Its not a gaming laptop and chassis will mean limited cooling solution for that cpu

  In the end its doubtful that the 13900H here will be any better than your usual ultra 7 or 13700H rig, or amd's 8845hs or equivalent, you are certainly losing out on igpu and battery life which undoubtly would be the main thing folks look for in a 14'

  i9 dont mean what they used to mean anymore, dont be pulled in by the name only to get an inferior machine for your usecase.

    This feedback is actually bang on the money. I really struggle to find a use case to suggest this is a good value laptop.

  Looks like battery life will be shit

  And fairly heavy for the size, 1.6kg will feel substantial

  Wins the 2024 award for most unbalanced specs

  At this stage, it really does look like MSI have individual silos planning their entire laptop range

  Just promote the team who manages Prestige and get them to fix Modern, Thin and the other semi e-waste variants

      Seems like their other laptops (Modern, Thin) and their gaming portable (Claw) all suck.

      MSI are currently very tight with Intel so when you combine MSI's penny pinching on chassis design, cooling and screens with Intel's poor efficiency, suck is what you get

      However, the updated Claw with Lunar Lake looks very good so the rest of MSI's 2025 portable range is guaranteed to be better
