Have been watching this for a while but just couldn't get myself to shell out $1400 -$1700 that it has been fluctuating between. Love the big screen, touch input and the absolute clincher for me the 4-hour battery life. Just picked up. Sharing if anyone else is interested. Here is the spiel from the site : Don’t just sit there—move, with the HP Envy Move 23.8″ All-in-One PC. With its rechargeable battery2, keyboard pocket, kickstand feet, and integrated handle, this sleek, lightweight PC lets you easily move from countertop to tabletop and back again. 23.8" screen though. I mean, $248 buys you a 31.5" 4k monitor, and the remainder a laptop with equivalent specs or better.
A tidy desk is nice, but…..Agree to all you have said ….just too good a AIO with battery to lug around in the house…..Always wanted the big screen while working & I sit in the balcony sometimes & then on the couch & this would be so handy…just couldn't do that with a monitor/laptop
Fair enough. All depends on the use case. My main issue is that 24" is getting too small. Not because it couldn't be large enough to be useful, but because apps are getting developed for massive screens.
Who wouldn't want a 24-inch windows tablet to noodle around on in the comfort of wherever tf you choose?
or a vesa mounted nuc ?
Sure, but while I'm sitting on the couch comfortably doing whatever on my 24 inch tablet, you're on the other couch trying to figure out how to hold up a 32 monitor in one hand while you do with on your sub-$750 laptop.
If you're intent on suggesting alternative solutions to people, maybe make sure you have a grasp of their use case first.
Right. So you're comfortable holding a 24 inch 4.1kg tablet in one hand while holding the keyboard in the other? 🤣
I can comfortably work from the couch with a 1.4kg laptop and type away, but I wouldn't get very far with this "tablet". I considered the use case, and battery life is a big part of that too; if the manufacturer says 4 hours, it probably means 2.5 now, and 1 hour in a couple of years. A screen this massive simply takes too much power, even at low brightness.
Absolutely comfy as.
It's a touchscreen 🤦🤦♀️How could you not figure out the appropriate use cases from the item description? 🤣🤣
@BinaryPirate: Genuinely happy it works for you. But I can't type (properly) on a touch screen keyboard.
@Make it so: Then why would you feel the need to criticize someone else's choices just because they don't work for you?
@BinaryPirate: Because I think the use case is very niche, and there are a few reasons for why this may not work out for others. Others may not realise the weight of this, or the limited battery life, or that there may be more efficient and economic options for them.
I have often checked out bargains, only to be (thankfully) made aware by others of aspects I had overlooked. That's what the discussion section of Ozbargain is for. People need to be able to share their perspectives on a deal without people calling them "critical" or "hater".
@Make it so: This is what you did:
Person: "check out these waterproof running shoes that totally suit my needs"
Not-You: "no good, they don't have steel-toes so they wouldn't meet my needs for work boots on construction sites"
It's been fun. Have a lovely evening :)
Someone should invent a piece of furniture that sits to the side of the couch.
A side table if you will.
A novel idea, to be sure, but I'm not sure which problem you're wanting to solve?
Waiting for all the usual haters to call this out as a #nodeal!!!
Happy Black Friday OZB - enjoy the sales, there are some crackers online!!

Code issued ! Lucky duck :)
Don't know who you issued a code to, but I haven't contacted you.
@Make it so: sock puppeting
@Make it so: maybe they can tell us the code and we can all check to see if we received it?
This thing appears to have a video output AND a video input, sweet!
Is there any code available. Price changed to $1299
Oh this is so tempting… I do wish it was 4K and I do have way too many computers, but this price is too good to pass up.
The specs say "Manufacturer Warranty: 0 year (0/0/1) limited warranty includes no parts, no labor and on-site repair. Terms and conditions vary by country. Certain restrictions and exclusions apply.". Unsure if bad copy-paste or if it's really 0 year warranty (don't think that's legal anyway though)
