    T2 link doesn’t work. Here’s a fixed one:

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Terminator-2-Judgment-James-Camero…

Also T1 seems to be normal price at $5? Doesn’t show it as being on sale.

    • T1 Blu Ray comes up as being $4 on the 22/6/2023 when I checked on CCC

      • +5

Apologies but time machine not on sale today

        • +6

          I(t)’ll be back.

    • +4

      Wrong!! The link was terminated!

    Sweet, all the Terminator movies.

    • +1

You think Terminator Salvation was sweet?

      • I like Christian Bale and some ideas in the movie were good but ultimately it was a bit of a let down.

  • +6

T1 on prime video, T2 on Binge right now fyi

    • +2

The Binge version is weird, the end credits indicate that it's the special edition (with the additional scenes eg: Kyle Reese dream sequence, flipping the switch on the chip to make Arnie more human etc). Yet it's still just the theatrical version.

      • +7

Plus Binge steaming quality is poor.

      • +2

T2 on streaming is a terrible experience. Even on DVD the DTS sound blows every streaming service out of the water.

  • +1

Not going to buy now but "I'll be back"

    • +4

I'm going to return some videotapes!

      • -2

        Fu<k you, assh0le

    Ordered on Windows Vista.
Arnie told me not to update, because he said "i still love Vista baby.".

  • Why can’t the put the running man at this price.

    • You can get it for $14.95 on Amazon. Great movie

  • +16

    Chill out, dickwad.

    hasta la vista baby

T2 is epic - one of the best sci-fi movies ever made.

  • +8

Just as an aside, I really enjoyed the Arnold doco series on Netflix. Definitely recommend everyone go check it out.

  • Salvation on Blu-ray also $9.98: https://amzn.asia/d/cFSZpUv

    • +2

      Too expensive.

    • +1

      Never heard of it.

    • You spent ten bucks on that?

I know now why you cry.

      • ?????

I didn't buy it, was just pointing out that the movie was also on sale

        • -1

          Now, now, now.

          There's no shame here.

          You're amongst friends.

You can admit your purchases. No judgement.

  • T1 OoS?

    • It'll be back!

  • +4

Good deal for great movies, would buy if I had a bluray player

Sarah Connor Chronicles is a AWESOME tv show for those that haven't seen it, highly recommended.

    • +1

      You don't have a PS3/4/5 or Xbox One/Series X lying around?

      • -1

I have a beast PC and a Nintendo switch

        • Not what I asked, but thanks for letting everyone know

          • -1

@Faro: You must have a miserable life

            • -1

@Willy Beamish: I didn't ask about your PC and Switch. I asked if you had another console that may have been capable of playing blu-rays. If you need validation for your other devices you could tell other PC gamers on Reddit or something.

              • -1

@Faro: You basically asked if i had anything that would play a bluray, I told you exactly what I have to avoid any further questions and then you got all snippy like you're upset someone answered your question.

Thanks for confirming you indeed do have one hell of a miserable life.

  • It's too bad many of the blu-rays of this film are remastered to look like shit: https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go=1&a=0&d1=16928&d2=16934&s1…

    • What are we meant to be looking at on that page?

      • Hover over the bigger image below and it should switch between the 2 versions

        • Looks like the remastered version got the Transformers treatment with that blue tint

    • Which one's the bad one?

      • Not these two. All the rest.

  • +2

T2 gets so many kudos and rightly so, however T1 in some ways is even better IMO (especially given there wasn't the same budget as was available for T2).

    • Unfortunately T2 doesn't come with the proper cover.

      • +1

I loved the Ultimate Edition cover (came out in 2003 just prior to T3's release… it had already been out in America since 2001) - the silver/metallic design was great. In 2004 it was re-released as a single disc edition and the cool silver/metallic cover was more grey and ugly by design. They re-released it again, this time with a steel tin cover with the artwork much the same as the Skynet edition bluray.

The original T2 dvd was one of my first dvd purchases. Actually went a few years without seeing it, was lucky enough to see it multiple times at the cinema upon release. Then played and replayed the VHS when that came out (pretty much watched it after school most days for a veryyyyyyy long time). It got to a point where as I had seen it so often in my youth…. I ended up going several years without watching it. Even when getting the dvd in the late 90's, from that point it was another almost 4 years before I watched it again (thanks to the ultimate edition release).

In any case, I actually prefer the original - much more suspenseful, story was farrrrrrrr better. T2 is still the ultimate action movie though.

I got like that a lot - many 80's movies were watched far too often that I ended up going 10+ years without watching them in full (or even in sections). Die Hard was another where I got the 2 disc special edition in 2002….. after having not seen it in many years prior (strangely enough whenever I wanted to watch "Die Hard" from the 90's - onward, I'd watch With a Vengeance). Likewise other films - Back to the Future trilogy is a classic trilogy, but I went many years without watching it until the complete trilogy collection was released over here (again some time after it was already available in America).

        TL;DR

If you haven't already got T1/T2 in your collections, add them!!

What is the quickest way to find out if the Blu-Ray master image quality is any good or if they have ruined the movie with a blue / green tinge?

  • I'm always tempted by these deals until I remember my 24TB NAS…

  • +2

I have a morning ritual that I need to share. I call it "the terminator".

First I crouch down in the shower in the classic "naked terminator traveling through time" pose. With my eyes closed I crouch there for a minute, visualizing either Arnold or the guy from the second movie (not the chick in the third one because that one sucked) and I start to hum the terminator theme.

Then I slowly rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me to proceed through my day as an emotionless, cyborg badass.

The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It ruins the fantasy.

T2 reminds me of the airport
