Very happy with this vacuum. Easily one of the best. Replacement bags are expensive but can be used with a cheaper generic ones.

    • Out of interest how much do the replacements cost? Also does it come with a reusable fabric bag? We had a Miele vacuum in the 90s that is still going strong as a garage/car cleaning vac at my parents place & the fabric bag was pretty good other than after a dozen washes the plastic plate where the suction connects deteriorated.
I almost bought a Dyson until I heard all the dissatisfied comments esp considering the price.

      • Google Miele GN bags. Don't use reusable bags if you want to look after the filtration and performance of your machine

    Best vacuum!

We have been using the c3 complete family (white) for past 7 years with no issues. If it broke down, will probably buy a c3 complete again.

    Great vacuum.
Changed to this after a dyson ball, heres why I prefer the Miele:
    Has more suction
    Suction control buttons
Replaceable filters (no need to wash it)
Uses bags (dispose of dust with no mess)

The Miele C series dunks on the Dyson big ball range, even most Dyson reps I used to work alongside acknowledged it

Like everyone said, this thing is great. Very powerful and reliable. Bagless stuff is crap, Dyson is a gimmick. Buy this.

  • highly recommend

  • $397 elsewhere

  • This or the bagless CX1?

Bag if you value your time and cleanliness. Don't cheap out. Plus you can get them very cheap on ebay

  • What is the difference between this and the Miele Complete C3 Cat and Dog Vacuum Cleaner?

    • +1

The head. I read in another thread you can buy the "cat and dog" head for cheaper than the usual price diff elsewhere (probably ebay/aliexpress), in case you need it.

      • I have hard floors, no carpets and no cat and dogs.
Should I get this one or the Cat and Dog vacuum?

        • +1

I don't know for sure, but I guess you don't need it, and can always buy the head later.
I think I will go for the cheaper C1 powerline, the discussion about motor power was interesting in this thread: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/771167
