Do you like giant overpriced cordless vacuums with questionable build quality 😂 ?

It’s $500 off direct from Dyson. Not usually on sale AFAIK. Comes with the Floor Dok Multi which is normally $150 extra and will hold all the tools it comes with.

Other shops have it down to $1150 but without the Floor Dok so it seems like this is the better deal when you take into account their returns policy.

  • thats a real name for a vacuum?

    • It will make sense if you were born after 2005.

      • At least we know the post wasn’t written by AI

  • I see lot of comments how overpriced Dysons are and their quality. Would love to see comments on what would be a better purchase for the same thing. Please Thank you

    • Quality is really no good anymore

I’ve been researching as in the market for a new one. Samsung stick vacuums seem to be up there with Dyson but Dyson still takes the win

xiaomis and roborocks are just as good if not better and cheaper

Got the gen5detect a month ago. It is bloody amazing on the carpets. The fluffy brush for the hard floor leaves some debris behind (or maybe I'm not doing it right). The battery is not amazing. It gives me severe anxiety. Might get an extra battery sometime down the line.

Cleaning the rubbish can is easy.

Up until this point, I've used several bagless corded vacuums from kmart, bigW and bunnings (ozito 1800w). And this is definitely a step up in every way. A good samsung jet and even something like dyson v15 being 60-70% of the price, will get 90% of the job done. And that is where I feel the sweet for price: performance is.

Both Choice and Vacuum Wars rate Dyson as the best stick vacuums, generally the top two, and both have Dyson as four out of the top 10. Choice has a Samsung at number 3, although it is at number 10 on vacuum wars. Shark and LG also turn up in the top ten. And one Bosch by Choice.

Both have the Gen5detect in the top ten, although not the outsize version because extra weight.

For what it’s worth very happy with our new V15detect absolute, which I think we picked up for about $850 from Amazon. Does all our large house’s hard floors with one charge, but if we start on the rugs and bedroom carpets as well it doesn’t make it.

      • Can you share what model Samsung makes it at number 3?

Looking to get either the Jet 95 or the 75e.

        Thank you!

    • Have had the V10 since Dec 2018. It's had one new battery and I had to disassemble recently to fix a broken trigger. Was surprisingly simple (despite needing to disassemble the entire thing).
Still going strong and would recommend

  • This will break your wrist. I had the Gen5Detect (smaller than this) and could not use it for longer than 10min.
Bigger dustbin but bigger weight and size.
    I returned it

I then went for the V12 Slim and it has been so much better.
Lighter, smaller dustbin (so I empty it more often) but I can use it, the wife and kids can also use it.

The green light is not a gimmick, it works really well in a dark room.

  • Yeah it’s the big boi. Hopefully it’s gunna be ok weight wise. We oft have the issue of the vacuum not being empty on a regular basis so I’m keen to give the larger size a go.
