Could be, although they should have a better system in place if they've run out of stock. Advertising the offer, allowing people to buy, and making the transaction fail at the very last moment is not a good look.

out of curiosity, it's 2% in crypto.com's own token. Do you normally transfer it back to AUD straight away? is there conversion to fiat? do you end up paying tax on that 2%?
I use those as part of dca strategy, so I keep them in defi.

Received notification that my cba card was being charged but upon opening the account, the transaction never appeared.

It didn't work when I tried it, but this was a couple years ago.
When I looked it up at the time there was a help article from Revolut stating that it's a prepaid card, but I can't find it now so maybe things have changed?
