        galaxy 23 series same deal.

    • Oh no what a shame

    • +3

Wait, youre telling me this isnt the s23 ultra 128gb?
      Crazy

      • +1

looks like they couldn't sell all the S22 stock

        • Cant recall a phone manufacturer selling 100% of stock just as a new model came out, what perfect timing that would be.

          • @Spendmore: Samsung knew when they are going to release the S23 ultra ie February 17, 2023
so usually they should have started these deals, big discounts last year in November/December to clear out as much of the remaining stock as possible.

The problem is this has not occurred since S21 deals.
Last time they did this, I think they sold out most of their existing stock in November/December before they released S22

            • @pinkybrain: Jbhifi are still selling iphone 11 so i guess its a common scenario.

  • Anyway to get the trade in bonus with no trade in? Samsung won't accept my S10 lol

    • Yes choose the 'i want to trade in a wearable or audio device' instead of choosing a phoneat the start.

      • Isn't it trade in possible within the same category

        • No, anything that the app accepts.

      • But what if I have nothing? I did trade in for buds but it's worth $1, do I have to send it in?

        • You get charged the trade in value of the item and a fee of $35. You get to keep the trade in bonus. Check to make sure this is still the case in the comments section of the deal linked in the description above.

          • @worthy1: I think that rule is gone now. Just had a quick read and it's $60 Until the device is received.

            • @Newbshopper: It was $60 until last year. I was only charged 35 this year

            • @Newbshopper: Select other headphone as trade in device and just send any crappy wired headphone (or get one really cheap at discounted store).

              • @alantsang2: Good to know. You done this?

                • @mouseman99: Yes with sucess. Petty popular option if you do a google search

                  • @alantsang2: I don't see an option for audio devices

                    • @jughead101: I want to trade in a wearable or audio accessories > scroll down and click other > select headphones or earbuds depending on whatever crappy devices that you dont want or cheap one that you can get (unless you want to pay $35 by not mailing the trade in device)

          • +2

            @worthy1: Can confirm was charged $60 in 2022 and $35 in 2023.

            • @abs898: Is it safe to provide our driver licence through that trade up app? It's asking for it.

        • Why dont you send it in? Can you find another place willing to buy a pair of used, noname earbuds for $1?

          • @truetypezk: They want my Samsung ones for $1 which I still use lol

            • @Newbshopper: Just choose other earbuds, all earbuds are $1 regardless of brands and conditions.

          • @truetypezk: I traded in proper devices that I could use or get more $$ for it.

    • Google an imei, prepare to pay $60 for not se ding a phone in

      • How do they enforce this? Is it an amount held on your card or do you get sent an invoice?

  • This worth it over the s23 ultra for $1350?

    • The S23 Ultra should also include +1 year of feature/security updates, never buy last year's model unless it's significantly cheaper.

      • +3

        This is $600 (~45%) cheaper, isn't it?

    • -3

no. the S22 series (and everything else using the 8Gen 1 SoC) is horrid. It's not a simple "gen-over-gen" improvement to the S23, it's literally a decade's worth of difference.

      • Please elaborate on a “decade’s worth of difference”.

        • A decade worth of difference refers to the significant changes, developments, and transformations that can occur over a period of ten years. It is remarkable how much progress can be made and how various aspects of society, technology, culture, and science can evolve within such a timeframe.

          • +2

@CptnObvious: Amazing. And all that occurred in a year between the S22 and S23. Amazing.

            • +3

@aja12: As an AI language model, I don't have real-time information or knowledge of specific events or advancements that occurred between Season 22 and Season 23, as the context of these seasons is not clear. If you could provide more details about what "S22" and "S23" refer to, I would be happy to try and assist you with the information I have up until September 2021.

  • Can I trade in Galaxy note 8 ?

    • yes you can… $30

  • +2

S23U worth the upgrade over S22U imo. Battery life alone is much improved. My S22U required multiple charges a day.

    • Price is 2GH. I rather wait untill it hit reebelo or greengadget at a cheaper price.

  • Can you do all this and also TRS it?

    • +1

      Yes..100%

    • TRS has nothing to do with it. You can do tea on anything you pay GST on

  • Any tips to get the 10% voucher?

  • S23 256gb or this

    • how much money you want to pay?

      s23, if you don't care

  • I used this a few weeks back for the 23+ and got it for $700 its a great phone. My friend traded in his 22 Ultra and got the fold 4 for $500 (he always wanted to try it)

  • Don't forget 4.00% Cashback @ ShopBack

  • Tried to trade up my old galaxy buds, got $1 value, then in the last step they wanted to place a charge on my credit card, what's this about?

  • everything works fine for me but the payment does not go through! tried multiple times, I get an email saying your trade-in code has been applied as well but the payment simply does not go through, no matter which payment type I choose. is anyone experiencing the same?

  • Interesting one - The curved screen looks annoying. OOI, what do current users do for a screen protector?

From a quick browse a few suggestions were

    • Official one (Doesn't look like it provides much drop protection)
    • AMFilm with UV curing of glue
    • Rhinoshield
    • +1

just a cheap plastic film protector for scratch protection. Had a UV glue one and found finger print rejection to be a pain the arse for everyday use. Can't believe the ultra model is not flatscreen yet.

FYI: You can try the code "S22SHOPB," which can reduce the price to $709.3. Cheers.

    • Babe this code isnt working for me?

      • log in to your shopback account first then go to samsung website and then the code will work

  • Its never crossed my mind to trade in a phone. A phone lasts me years. Im 50 and have had 4 phones in my life.

    • Can you replace the batteries in your phone?

The old ones you could, now not so easy. I find after 2-3 years of daily charging the batteries tend to lose capacity…

    Thanks OP

Traded in old S20 FE for $100 + $400 bonus
    Used newsletter $50 voucher
    Used 10% loyalty code
    Used Cashrewards code S22CASHR

Checkout was saying price was $633.37 delivered. Happy days.

However when I actually went through the checkout process including logon to my Samsung account and verifying the trade-in IMEI, final checkout price rose to $683.37

Not a bad deal, but not as good as I thought.

I am assuming the $50 newsletter code isn't stacking with either the loyalty discount or the Cashrewards code :(

    Bought it anyway.

Now looking at cases, thinking of the Otterbox Strada as I like a flip/wallet style….
    https://www.amazon.com.au/OtterBox-Samsung-Galaxy-Ultra-Stra…

    • the newsletter $50 voucher code is unreliable but please keep trying it has worked for me on the 4th attempt

      • Website keeps crashing everytime I try using the newsletter code argh

    • That happened to me when I purchased my S23 last month with the similar trade in + stack promo deal. I called up samsung and complained that the $50 discount was dropped and they eventually escalated it to another team that sent me a $50 mastercard after I supplied the promo code. Ymmv

  • Out of interest, if I decide I no longer want to trade my device I understand I may have to pay an administration fee ($60) plus I lose the trade value ($100)

Do I still get the $400 bonus off, or do I have to pay that back too?

    • +2

      you keep the bonus

      • What about this mate -
Device Non-Return Fee means a fee which is equal to the amount of the discount You received when Your unique Trade ID was applied at the point of sale when You purchased Your New Samsung Device Online in accordance with clause 5.2 of these Terms and Conditions

I am not sure if discount would include bonus as well?

        • New process is they charge your card upfront for the trade-in value (not bonus discount) and issue a refund when you send the device back. If you don't return the trade-in device, you don't get the refund and get charged additional admin fee. So yeah, you still keep the bonus (less admin fee)

  • Any ideas on how to trade off Google Pixel 7 Pro 😭
Oddly there was a glitch at one point when Pixel 7 Pro showed up but now it's gone again.. S23+ > Pixel 7 Pro

  • +1

I asked for $100 voucher on the live chat and they gave it to me for my S22 Ultra order - it stacked up with the loyalty and newsletter vouchers too! Final price $668.60 for me.

    • Did you apply the Cashrewards or Shopback code as well?

      • It worked for me too, noting the newsletter code discount gets removed

        • Missed the $100 voucher and paid $718 for the phone.

        • you have to fill in the same email address for the newsletter as you use for delivery - then it works!

      • No, I did not. Perhaps it works, but I didn't want to push my luck. Already stacked up 3 discount codes, which is already pretty awesome deal!

        • Which three codes???

    • May I know which chat did you use?

      • Live chat on their website.

        • I stacked loyalty, cash reward, trade in and extra chat coupon. Originally had the $50 off newsletter (same email) but the discount got bumped after adding the extra codes.

Trying to re add the newsletter gives you an error message about how it didn't hanger the order

    • so they gave you $100 voucher on top of 10% loyalty?

  • For those who are looking for case while waiting for the phone, Officeworks is clearing the S22 Ultra Case for only $5:

  • Thanks OP!!

    Traded in old A73 for $135 + $400 bonus
    Used newsletter $50 voucher
    Used 10% loyalty code
    Cashrewards - 3% cashback

The newsletter code was playing up but managed to get it working on laptop browser. Final checkout price was $637 delivered. Got around $17 cashback updated on CR. So, net paid = $620.

Now, not planning to send back my A73 (based on comments here, they will deduct $135 + $60) but I should be able to sell my A73 for $400-$500. Let's see.

  • Received my order, woot woot!

    • That is quick. My order to Samsung's store is still awaiting dispatch. Don't know why.

      • Same. Ordered Friday. Need it by Friday so i can claim trs. Not looking good

        • I asked the rep on chat. He said it will be available by 02/06. Then why did Samsung indicate it will be available the next day? So misleading.
