  Note:

  The picture and title say

  "3.5mm Male to 2.5mm Female"

  but the description says

  "Convert the 2.5mm earphone jack to 3.5mm earphone jack."
  "Brand New 2.5mm to 3.5mm headphone adapter jack."

  so which one will they send ??? toss a coin ???

    3.5mm male to 2.5mm female is the same as saying 2.5mm to 3.5mm jack

    I think it's confusing for a different reason. Why would you have a nice pair of earphones that terminate in a 2.5mm plug? The only 2.5mm plug earphones I've ever gotten came with mobile phones…

    I haven't noticed any loss of sound quality sticking regular three-pole earphones into a four-pole socket though.

      well if headphones with a 2.5mm jack didn't exist then these adaptors wouldn't exist, would they?

    Write to their customer service or use "live chat". I wrote to them after my Bluetooth adapter failed to arrive after 4 weeks and they offered to ship another one or give me a refund. I accepted a replacement (which arrived after another 5 weeks) but in the meantime my original order arrived 2 weeks after I made the complaint.

    From what I can tell from Meritline's shipping dockets and mailing labels, Meritline seems to be a web shop front for many small Chinese wholesalers, resellers & suppliers. When you place an order with Meritline, a shipping docket is sent to the Chinese supplier. Then it is up to the little guy to send us the products in good time. My supposedly identical BT adapters (original & replacement) came from different suppliers and function differently. This also explains why the user product reviews vary so much.

  They are both (2.5mm to 3.5mm and 3.5mm to 2.5mm) working with this code.

  If you are worried about the inconsistency in the description just buy both and then you can be sure that what they send you will work for what you need.

    i might get both and connect them in series so i can use my 3.5mm earphones on my 3.5mm iphone…
