Seems like a good price for a decent quad core phone.
White is also available at same price here:

That really good feedback, I was wondering what was different with the Asian sourced phones and the local model. I am looking for a phone for my GF for her birthday and tossing up between this and the SGIII she has my old desire HD running a custom rom atm and she loves it, so HTC X might be the go.
Do you honestly think the local model is manufactured locally?
English (Malaysia), English (Singapore), English (Philippines) is the same as English (US) or English (UK). Do not think that US English and UK English is more superior than "Asian English" just because they are western countries ;)
That being said, Kogan's price is just always the cheapest around so far, especially in the Samsung phones market!
Good phone. Very happy with it. I only wish it price dropped crazily like the S3 did.
I bought one from Kogan a few months back. Just something to know however, if you insist on a Taiwan model over a China one, don't buy from Kogan. The one they sent me was made in China.
The default language was English (Singapore). I also had options of English (Malaysia), English (Philippines), and English with pretty much most asian country names in parenthesis, but no English Australia, UK, or US. The handset they sent me was clearly meant for the asian zone exclusively. Having said that, I don't know the difference between these different sets of English. Malaysian English does not add "la" to the end of each sentence for instance. English is English, and it's perfectly useable. I'm just surprised they didn't make it one English, or just throw in languages from other zones. At the very least English UK or US.
There is no problems with my China model. Although word going around is that they have problems, and the Taiwan model is far better and free of issues. Mine is fine, but YMMV.
My experience with battery life is that I have no problems with it. I have auto brightness on too. However, I leave bluetooth, wifi, data, and GPS off except when I need them. I don't auto sync at all. I always get home with 50-66% battery life based on my usage. I have the screen on for at least an hour a day (I watch 720p video in MKV). I top up the charge each night though I could go for two days if I forget and still get by.
