I took in a Hoyts Cinema's popcorn tin I got when MIB3 came out and got over 3/4 of the way through. People were taking in tupperware, vases and fruit bowls. I think because it was in a large container, and there was so much of it, it kept itself cold and never completely melted.

Went to 2 different stores with a bucket,, alot smaller than some of the other buckets ive seen posted on facebook.
First store was completly sold out. 2nd store walked in and had to measure it up through the hole, and it passed but then the grumpy owner said,, "its bring your own cup,, not basket", couldn't be bothered arguing so just walked out.
nozzle is too large for a balloon. Garbage bag would work though.
