11:30 am update: Further price cut from $299.92 to $289.16.

About $49 cheaper than the previously posted deal — albeit it's for the non-"E" model.

Now I've previously looked at the specs of the PSW10 and PSW10E and couldn't figure out what's the difference between the 2. Perhaps somebody in the know can advise?

  • Just watched another review and test for the PSW10 this morning and sounds like a good thing - https://youtu.be/af86T1n3y-0

For what it's worth though, that review assumes a price tag of $90 USD, or ~$135. At more than double that price, it may not be as worth it. Make sure you do your own research. Maybe compare with the cheaper Yamaha subs.

Checked the polk website and the sub cuts off at 40Hz, also it's only 50W RMS. Definitely not worth $300

    • yeah only sounds like it's worth 150$

I got a Yamaha hs8s to compliment the 8" monitors - 150W, pretty good frequenty response and crossover settings (80-1020 Hz etc)
(OFR -3dB = 33 Hz – 124 Hz, -10 (22 Hz – 160 Hz). Fills in the bottom end very nicely - not a huge basshead but blends in well and never gets past 11 oclock or it's overpowering.

Wouln't suit most AV receiver setups due to XLR in/out but they are the kind of numbers that would be decent.
A 10" with a coax input or bi-wiring would be the go for most people. The recent yamaha sub deal for $300 would be better
