Parents had this (I assume this one) and the original shaped one. The original is better, seemed to work better and a much bigger water tank.
I meant Aldi had two machines, the original shape and another that looks like this one..
Had one of the older models of this. Quite basic but simplicity is it's strength. Push a button and walk away, come back it's done just add milk. Tasted alright too.
Just know this competes with instant coffee (one button to click on kettle vs coffee machine) rather than other coffee machines.
how much do the pods cost and hows their taste ?
I think it's something around 40 cents per capsule and it has 8grams of coffe versus 5g, 5.2g or 5.5g on Nespresso.

Good price but the capsules are more expensive than the ones for Nespresso and only the Aldi ones are good. With other Caffitaly pods I had issues: either no coffee pouring or capsule stuck on the machine and only dumped 10 minutes later when the capsule got cold or coffee just a coloured water.
I was just looking at this prior after reading a reddit forum on saving money (buy a coffee machine!). Reviews are not too bad, and hard to beat at this price. Some videos mention piercing the capsule with a fork prior to dropping into the machine, microwaving some milk to add later and most show it is a lot of value for the price - and the coffee smells nice.
If you want to save money, buy international roast 😏

Never understood why higher pressure is better in coffee machines. 19 BAR is by far too high
Can't complain for pod coffee. Had one of these for a few years and it's a step up if you have instant.
