    Great spec for the price

    • 4 cores intel…

kinda wish there's the amd models

      • +1

This is actually a pretty nicely specced model though, for the price. I'd jump on it but I want something that runs a bit cooler. 4.7ghz may sound mad on paper, but that puppy is gonna rut hot.

    • the screen is not good. washed out and dim (but IPS)

  • +6

wish the screen can be brighter, only 250 nits

    • +2

      I agree, it's a dealbreaker

    • +6

my kids hair is brighter, like 12,500 nits…

    • But why do you want brighter screens anyway? laptops are typically 250 nits and people mostly news them indoors.

      • Non-flex Ideapads are 300 nits, and I use one quite a bit outdoors.

  • the hell that they still use windowss media player from windows 7

    • Putin still uses Windows XP, what's the big deal?

  • Is the screen still dogs*$t?

    • all Flex models are notorious for that

  • +1

OP's description says comes with pen or is that just a feature?

    • +1

Should come with pen, wonder if it'll be 1st or 2nd gen. 1st gen in my experience had problems with connectivity and buttons at times, causing delayed inputs.

    • +1

It has a stylus that slots into the side

  • +2

    That screen is a form a self-flagellation

stack code WELCOME20 as well to get extra $20 off, basically cancels out the delivery fee. Probably for new customers or guest checkout

    • Thank you. Confirm can stack.

This screen gonna be garbage. Shame all the other specs look great

    • The god of budget laptops demands a sacrifice. Ram, CPU, screen or ports….

      • Lol

  • The challenge I faced with my Lenovo was that the battery life was awful after 1 year..

Great price for the Specs. 👍👍

It's the usual thing, I want the mother of all notebooks and be paid for accepting it… Really? A good deal is a good deal. It's never gunna be perfect or the price will reflect perfection, simple…

  • Great specs! Pity about the screen.. Any other laptop deals with a similar specs but a better screen?

    Saw this 12th gen i7 (12 core) for just $1500 !!

  • Easy enough to add another SSD?

  • For a University student ( medical field), This or https://www.harveynorman.com.au/acer-swift-x-14-inch-r7-5700…
    Can you please suggest?

    • +1

For uni students, I'd suggest avoiding any of the Flex series. The screen brightness is poor and has to be turned up to 100% even indoors - so bright spaces like a lecture theatre, uni library, outdoors they will be near-impossible to see.

Having a quick look that Swift X (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/766074) has a 350-400nits brightness (will be significantly brighter).

      • I am also looking for a laptop which could up to $1200 budget. 16gb ram is my requirement. The Acer in the link seems the best specs I could have seen around this budget. Is there any reason that this laptop can be sold below 1k considering even has the separate graphic card. Thanks

        • +1

Laptops under 1k with dgpu and 16gb of ram come in up reasonably no often. The GTX1650 is an older card.

      • I think you are overstating the brightness issue. Yes, it's not ideal for use outside, and pretty much unusable in direct sunlight, but in well lit rooms it's perfectly adequate. And for a student looking to take notes, a brighter laptop without touch screen won't be very useful.

  • Must be laptops and computers season on ozbargain now

  • I get an error while applying the coupon code - "Unable to apply discount code.". Is anyone else seeing this?

    • Think it's OOS

  • We've got one of these. About a year old, not sure about exact model.

It's completely fine to use. No idea what people are going on about regarding the screen brightness, but we use it indoors as a casual laptop.

  • Just be wary the hinge on this might break through the screen shortly after one year, with the most limited of usage.
