We could only hope these are just twisted semantics and it is actually a $100 voucher.
But the reason say assume it's tricky marketing and a poor deal unless you eat there weekly.
Could also have minimum spend when redeeming each voucher
Can I spend $199, get the voucher, hand it back to them and pay $100!?
Pretty sure you can hand them the voucher back at once, if you don't plan to come back. No point though.
Most likely they will only let you use the voucher on your next visit

which is actually split into 2x $50 vouchers which require a minimum of $150 spend to be used.
Great place to eat hotpot quality food but that voucher system sucks balls and needs to be reworked

As in, the $100 will probably be split up into something like 5 x $20s, not a full $100 that you can use in 1 go.
