$5 Bonus Cashback on $50 Online Spend @ Cashrewards (Activation Required, Excludes Gift Card Purchases)

4180

Hi everyone. A nice bonus for all our members ending 11:59pm AEDT, and thanks for your support as always. Please stay safe, and enjoy :)

If you intend buying something from Amazon, please ensure you check your item's category by using my tips to help determine whether or not it's eligible for cashback.

Read the terms below carefully - it will save a lot of questions. Ensure you activate the bonus prior to shopping. Once activated, shop as normal via the 'Shop Now' (Store) or 'Activate Now' (Notifier) buttons on Cashrewards. Note specific store exclusions such as Amazon 0% categories, AliExpress non-affliliate products etc, and read all terms for the store your wish to purchase from.

Full list of Cashrewards stores & categories here.

$5 Bonus Promo Terms:

  1. To be eligible for the AUD $5 bonus, you must first activate the promotion via the main link in this post, then shop as normal via any active online store* on Cashrewards, excluding any purchase from the Cashrewards Gift Card Page.
  2. After activation, transaction must be made between 8:30am and 11:59pm AEDT 31/03/23.
  3. Bonus is eligible on qualifying purchases of AUD $50 or more in a single transaction (inclusive of GST, after any discounts, and before shipping). Sales may report to Cashrewards ex-GST so the amount shown in your account may be less than $50 - you will still be eligible for the bonus.
  4. Bonus will be added automatically to your Cashrewards account as ‘pending’ upon activation of this offer. Under some conditions, there may be a delay of up to 60 minutes for the bonus to show in your account. Bonus will be approved within 7 days of any associated qualifying purchase being approved, as per the terms of the store.
  5. Bonus is over and above the advertised store cashback rates which still apply to the transaction.
  6. Transaction is valid if made online via desktop browser, Cashrewards mobile app, Cashrewards Notifier, or mobile browser.
  7. Bonus is ineligible on any purchase from the Cashrewards Gift Card Page, and ineligible on any in-store purchases.
  8. Selected stores may report orders with multiple items as separate transactions into your Cashrewards account - these are still eligible.
  9. Bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  10. Bonus is ineligible if you purchase from a 0% cashback store/cashback rate, if you purchase an ineligible item, or if an order is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected. *Check individual store cashback terms and exclusions prior to purchase (see Amazon & AliExpress terms especially).
  11. Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

Do not activate the bonus unless you intend using it - it will decline after 14 days unless a qualifying purchase is made. For tracking success, disable 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost. Cashrewards must be your last click before purchase. Use our iOS/Android mobile app for improved tracking results. Use our Help Centre & Contact form here for any questions or issues.

Is paying with gift card still eligible for the cashback?

    • +2

      Depends on retailer

  • +1

    So the $$99 60gb 12mth amaysim plan with $17.50 CB + $5 CB = $77.50?

    • +1

Math doesn't check out, I got $76.50. Link to deal post here.

      • +4

        If caffeine levels high
        Do maths
        Else go get coffee

        Yes of course 99 - 17.50 - 5 = 76.50

  • Thanks TA

  • +20

    Not much to buy :(

    • Gift card excluded
    • Chemist Wearhouse: ineligible if pay by gift cards
    • Amazon: almost 0% on everything
    • ebay: Temporarily Unavailable
    • Easter holiday hotels all settled

    probably will skip this deal~

    • +4

Ever heard of a store called Aliexpress, it's kind of huge.

      • +19

Not interested in waiting for 3 months for a lost parcel.

        • +5

Never had anything take that long, usually it's 2 weeks.

          • +6

@WatchNerd: 2 weeks to be reported lost?

            • +1

@Weshouldgetsushi: Bought lots of items over many years, never had one thing lost. Always buy from sellers that have sold high numbers & check reviews. Make sure you use Paypal.

Would be interested to hear how many items @Clear has had lost as well?

              • +4

@WatchNerd: I haven't had any orders lost ever since AliExpress started forcing sellers to use shipping methods with tracking and opened up their distribution warehouses for consolidated packaging. Before then probably only 2 or 3 out of a hundred.

Definitely had a few cases of the wrong item sent or order partially missing. Everytime AliExpress has given me refunds. Take this fan as an example. It was supposed to have a 10000mAh battery and a light for US$19.89, but instead it had a 4500mAh battery and no ring light. AliExpress accepted my offer for a 50% refund, so for US$9.94 it was a real bargain.

                • +1

@Clear: 50% refund for an item that isn't as described doesn't sound like a great bargain to me. If you asked for 100% refund then I'm sure you'd have gotten it

                  • @nicholasv: The product still works. The main function of a fan is to blow air and it does. Sure a smaller battery and no light means it's worth less but not grounds for a full refund imo.

Not worth asking for a full refund only for AliExpress to request sending it back, but I'm sure some here would think that's a better deal. If it was DOA that's a different story and I'd get a full refund.

              • @WatchNerd: Yeah, I've bought a few things.
                They have all eventually arrived.

        • +1

Just received this yesterday and this today and they both arrived in 2 weeks.

I agreed the wait time of some products kills the deal and have to be very mindful of choosing. for the delivery, look for the one with Ali Standard Shipping should be ok

          • +1

@bcYield: It really shows that people who think 3 months haven't ordered from AliExpress in 12 months.

            • @Clear: I must have been unlucky. Still waiting for order in Jan from AliExpress (store 98.5% +ve 7 years). Estimated delivery was yesterday. No response from seller yet.

              • @trixieb: I assume it was a small item and Cainaio for shipping?

      • moonswatch time

      • Ever heard of a store called Aliexpress, it's kind of huge.

Problem is that with Cashrewards cashback is eligible only on purchase of affiliate products.

      • For those in the knowing, Boost Mobile deal makes this kind of deal redundant. How come? I just order one more for $5 bonus later or already did.

        • Or $5 from the snack app with the ColesWorth gc. This deal suits those that intend to shop anyway

    • Not bad for MyDeal which is already 13% cashback (ends 1pm AEDT).

    • +1

That's how I feel as well. It's crazy how my balance/total rebates has gone up and up with ShopBack. Cash rewards had a thousands of dollars head start but it's now gone the other way.

If Amazon pantry was included, I'd find something but it's excluded unfortunately.

    • We need ebay!!!

  • +3

    Can get a case of 24 Beers for $32.82 [$52 - $14.18 (30% cashback on non GST amount) - $5 (Bonus)] https://www.liquorland.com.au/beer/travla-mid-strength-lager…

    • Is that a good beer?
      Thanks

      • +1

Haven't had it myself, but reviews seem decent on the Liquorland page

      • only one way to find out :)

      • Mid strength lager? good luck…

    • +1

$52 for mid strength beer? Yeah, nah!

      • It's a double celebrity endorsed beer, costs money for celeb promo

  • @tightarse: if I have one transaction at Amazon with two items, one $90 with 0%CB, the other $1 with >0% CB, will I be eligible for this $5CB?

    Thanks

    • +4

Hi. Unfortunately not. The item in an eligible category must be $50 or more.

      • :( thanks.
I missed my dealt last week.
        Now, will miss this one.

  • @tightarse Thanks

If I dont have chemist warehouse GCs isn't this a good deal?
Side note- wheres the best place to get chemist warehouse GCs?

    • +5

I buy Chemist Warehouse GCs from ShopBack's Health & Beauty swap 4% cashback. Instant tracking.
Main reason I joined ShopBack in Dec. I don't have a Westpac card. Many deals at ShopBack require a Westpac card

    • @strawberrybug 6.25% off at Prezzee. Buy $150 Easter Extra Smart card, get $10. Can swap for Chemist Warehouse etc

  • @tightarse
Is this under Garden (0%) or Home Improvement (3.5%)?
    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BG1PFRJ6/?coliid=I3253DORYJMI…

    • Home Improvement›Power & Hand Tools›Power Tools›Grinders

      • Thank you @OzBestDeal, but could you please verify @tightarse as the top tab shows:
        Garden —> Bestsellers —> Gardening —> Barbecue & Outdoor dining —> Pools & Supplies —> Mowers & Outdoor Power

        • @back2b From my last Amazon order the got immediately declined, I would expect Amazon to use the Garden category thats on the top in bold, not the list of categories in Home Improvement below it.

I made an order just like what you're showing that used the 0% category on the top row, even though it also shows another eligible category with cashback. It's very confusing but luckily it was only about $1 missed for me.

  • Thanks Op, will buy Lego on sale from Target.

Confuses me why websites have this Load More button after only showing a few options, so you have to keep clicking it to get to something you want to see. We're not in the age of dial up, so even if the whole page loads it shouldnt take more than a few seconds. Or at least give us the option to jump to store names by letter of the alphabet or "Show All". Such a painful user experience given the long list of stores on that page.

  • If I buy Kitchen and Dining from Amazon with Amazon balance…will that be eligible?

  • Anyone else having to log in constantly?

It looks like CR updated their rewards page, I have it as a bookmark and for the last day or two I have had to log in multiple times. This is with Edge. I also have the CR my favourites page bookmarked on Firefox which I use for cashback purchases, no issues there.

Am I eligible if I buy an Amazon gift card via Amazon?

    • +1

Did you read title of the post?

  • +1

Great now I have to buy more crap I don’t need…

    • Buy / Gift crap for other people, that they don't need?

  • Thanks TA. Bought a Lambo

  • +1

How long does it usually take to track for Amazon?

  • I completed an order at aliexpress at 11.58pm on 31st (I was dumb and missed the 7-11pm window), this promo has registered in my account in the My Rewards list (obv still pending) but my Ali order never showed as tracked. Usually get emails pretty soon after ordering but didn't get that either…
Not sure if I failed getting both the standard cb and the bonus this time.

Item was definitely affiliated and I followed the same procedure+device+app as I usually use.
