You must click through this URL for the price to be US$1.99. Otherwise the main link in the OP will give you a higher price.

A repeat of this previously popular deal for a lower price and no food pics. It's a simple kit that includes a screwdriver and 25 different magnetic screw heads. It's good enough for chucking in the toolbox or glovebox as a spare or a small odd job here and there.

AU$ based on current Mastercard rate, GST inclusive and stacks with cashback.

Read the deal next time sunshine. When bold isn't obvious enough.

OzBargain automatically removes the special URL from the main deal because it thinks it's an affiliate URL when it's not (and the product itself is unaffiliated).

    • +2

Just an FYI for next time, When it says "Link has been shortened, Keep the original link?" you can tell the system you want to keep the special URL parameters simply by clicking "Revert".

You should however, be careful not to click revert if you know it's an affiliate link.

      • +3

I think that might be mod/PU only? As it doesn't show for me. It just removes everything after .html.

        • +2

Huh. So all these years I assumed all users could see that option. no problem, next time just report the deal and we can fix the URL up and over-ride default behaviour. However if you edit the deal yourself and save changes the URL will be truncated again.

          • +2

@scrimshaw: I can understand why that's the case. Seems there's heaps of US$2.34 via this trick so we might see more.

  • +2

Thanks AU$3.54 for me via Paypal.

    • +1

I just did it in AU$ though. I hope I don't need that 30c anytime soon lol!

  • Wow bargain, got one. Thanks Clear.

    • +2

There's a few more up my sleeve. I'm sussing out these "?sourceType=xxx" codes that give extra discounts.

      • +9

it is the same price as from the 3 items from $1.99 USD each except you found a way to only buy single item. Would be amazing if you can find a way to see all the items or even search for it from the anniversary event.

IT WORKS! if you add ?sourceType=570 to the end of each of those items in that deal, you can get them for $1.99 USD!

        • Yep I just noticed this myself. I've been wondering how to get the app prices to show on desktop.

        • +1

Sorting the store page by orders seems to be the most accurate way of checking. Almost all of them are eligible.

          • @Clear: Thanks. I used the hack to buy an item I saw in the buy 3 items deal but couldn't find 2 other items to buy it with ahaha

  • +2

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I've got it at $3.54 AUD after tax.

    • Yep that's what I got using 28 Degrees Mastercard conversion.

      • Aight, sweet. Cheers!

    • Yeah it's $3 before tax… So $3.54 is right.

    • +1

You're correct. I got so excited by the price I forgot to include tax. Now fixed.

      • All good, cheers!

    • Tax should be 10% but this one is around 17% for some reasons

      but still a bargain

  • +5

I get no option to buy, only to add to my picks. What's up with that?

    • Part of a pick 3 promo. Need to pick another 2 items before you can checkout

      • +2

cheers but I found the issue. Not working via mobile app, but working ok via desktop. No need for 3 items.

  • got this last time… It's quite small

    • TWSS

    • +2

      its how you use it

    • Looks it. Probably only good for delicate jobs, can't imagine you can get enough grip if a screw is really tight.

  • +6

Not sure what's going differently for you guys but I just checked out for $1.53. Thanks OP

    • +4

Got this price as well. No idea why

      • +1

$1.53 for me as well, and got 4.5% Cashrewards back

        • Can't get $1.53, oh well. Any tricks to bundling with CR … do I go to Aliexpress site thru CR and then search for screwdriver kit or can I somehow use link or item num and still bundle?

          • +1

@JCFoz: Login to Cashrewards and search 'aliexpress', or here is the link -https://www.cashrewards.com.au/aliexpress. Also, I must have gone between the other tabs before paying as I can see the transaction in my "click history" but not in the "My rewards" history. Not gonna bother raising with Cashrewards for 8 cents.

    • Me too

  • That's cheap!! 👍👍

  • +1

Case and screwdriver is made of plastic.

    • +1

What did you think the case was made of?

      • +7

I would have assumed blood, sweat and tears.

      • +3

The driver handle made of plastic is the real problem, turn it a bit forceful, it will break.

        • -1

It's only a micro screwdriver set, you probably won't break the handle with normal use. Think of all the full size screwdrivers you have which are just a metal shaft moulded into a plastic handle.

    • +2

Soon enough, the govt would ban this to be made of wood/artificial wood :)

      • You can make plastic to look like wood.

        • wish they'd do this with take away forks and straws then

  • thanks op :)

  • +3

Can’t seem to buy. Only option is to add to my picks?

    • +2

I was able to get it when I viewed it in desktop mode.

    • +1

I got the same issue on mobile browser. Solved by buying 2 more items for $1.99USD in the list of discounted things…

      • +3

You gotta do it on desktop (or at least use desktop view). On mobile, it will say it is part of the 3 items for $1.99 USD each.

  • Good kit for the price, but keep in mind that it's heavier than it looks, and it's easy to accidentally open it.

  • +7

I bought this last time it was posted and the brittle plastic handle broke on first use. Better to spend a bit more and get a fully metal set.

    • +4

yeah, i had second thoughts after reading the 1-star comments and cancelled my order

      • +2

I have the same set & its fine for computer screws/light work.

Just dont expect to drive in woodscrews with it.

  • It says add to my picks. Does that mean it’s finished?

    • +2

Do it on the desktop site.

  • +4

Don't know what I did wrong, but I got it for only $1.53.

    • Yeah, same here. I was rewarded by failing to read the instructions…

  • US$2.34 for 25, or US$10.91 for 112?

    • Plus shipping

  • Anyone else getting "pick 2 more items to check out"?

    • +1

      Use the desktop site.

      • Thanks man. That worked!

  • +1

Thanks, got it for $3.54 with paypal, also gave me a coupon for AU $0.30 for next order

  • I got what I think are identical but from one of Xiaomi’s brands. Really really good design and quality.

  • Thanks OP this was very much not needed but I still got !

  • +1

OOS? Can't add to cart anymore.

    • Use desktop site, just ordered one.

  • Just note this plastic Pen and not metal one. Metal ones cost slightly more

  • Woah… I paid double the price a month ago!

  • Ended up clicking through the link in the previous deal and got it for $0.73 as a welcome deal.

Just make sure you are signed out when clicking through and create a new account to checkout!

Wow an AliExpress store with over 98% (98.1%) feedback, rare as hens teeth, I'll have a look at their other stuff.

  • +1

$1.53 total shipped. Thank you :)

    • Yeah mine was $1.52. I feel it's too good to be true

    • Same $1.53 here! Hopefully it arrives

  • Thanks OP. got one. not 1.53 but still good deal…

  • Oh no…. already have many screws…

  • Damn I messed up somewhere and paid $8. Oh well

    • +1

Can't you cancel and re-order? If not then you'll have to hand in your Ozbargain membership.

      • +2

I'll hand it in, I'm too lazy for the sake of a few dollars. I prefer the bigger item bargains 😉

  • +1

$1.53 on my end. Thanks OP

  • +1

What does it mean by add to my picks ??

    • +1

You need to use the desktop site. Through the app it applies to a different promotion where you need to add multiple $1.99 products to order.

  • I need a Trox T7, but this set doesn't have that size.

  • Thanks OP.. great price

  • Can’t buy it, keeps saying „pick 2 to check out“. No matter what I add it fails lol

    • Use desktop mode.

  • How did I get it for 1.53 AUD?

  • Can't buy throws error "This item can't ship to AU"

  • Just ordered one. $1.53AUD with free shipping.

  • $3.55 here at checkout. After purchase it's back to $18.45.
    Thanks OP.

  • Seems every time I recheck the price, it keeps changing. I've seen like 4 different prices on this same item depending on how I log in or go incognito. AliExpress is so weird. Always feels like I'm tripping.

    • Is your currency set to USD?

      • All the prices I saw are AUD

        • Then set it to USD as it won't fluctuate. If you see $1.99 on the listing then you know it's correct.

          • @Clear: Ive seen it be (all in AUD) $1, ~$18, ~$7 and $1.53. I don't think changing it to USD would account for that much variation. I bought for $1.53 with PayPal though. Thanks for the find.

  • goes back to $1 if you open in incognito tab

  • The $1 is if you are new customer from my understanding.

If you already have an account it the $3.54 which is still a good price

  • received mine today,

cheap plastic case & screwdriver but good enough to keep in the car or spare

  • Arrived today.
    It's crap.

I thought I was getting something else as I have a sweet that's similar but far better quality.

The one that arrived is cheap plastic. Glad it costs next to nothing because it's not worth any more than that

  • Adding to the crappy quality bandwagon.

I wasn't expecting much, and you know, it's amazing that it can be made and shipped over for such a low price.

But it's very clearly just a minimal quality copy of the one in the pics. The plastic moulding is very shoddy, it doesn't clip closed properly, the screwdriver tail cap doesn't spin properly etc.
